I'm on my 4th Limited with air suspension. Number 5 is on order. I drive a lot of miles and haul the occasional heavy load (overloaded). It works great for what I do but it isn't the answer for you. Buy the regular suspension and lift it. The air system was improved starting in 2019 but I have had no problems with my 2015,2017,2019 or 2021 Limiteds with air suspension. I won't buy a truck without.

I have 2021 Rebel with Air suspension.
I like it. Haven't had any issue yet.

You can add a lift with Air Suspension. There are couple kits around.
I have RC kit(still in boxes), on this forum people don't like RC. Mostly it's cause they are 'selling' other products.
Other forums, I'm on. Lots of people have RC without any issues. I've had RC lifts on different jeeps.

Also, I off-road with my Rebel a lot. Of course it depends what your view of off-road means.

As someone above mentioned the Truck isn't suppose to let you drive over certain limit in exit/off-road
But can control aero/normal with settings, turn it off, if you don't want it lower.

Older models with Air suspension have had issues. If mine will have those same issues, only time will tell.
So far it's been -30c and no issues yet. From what I've been reading and from some other local off-road
friends. It's mostly just needs to be purged and refilled.

Depends why you want to buy the truck. I purchased the Rebel, because I like the look, and it's fun
to off-road with it. It's easy with my jeep, but challenge with Rebel.

I also changed from 18 rims to 20, and added little bigger tires, no issues.

Several yrs ago when I got my 2015, the salesman at the stealership actually talked me out of the air suspension, if that helps any. Maybe it's better now.

Thanks for the info...is entry/exit the same height as a Rebel would be if there was no air suspension. Meaning is the starting point up to the 4" starting where a truck would be if there was no air suspension?
My son just bought a new 2022 Rebel on December 13 ... He has the regular suspension with all terrain tires and you need a step stool to get into it as it doesn't have running boards, which he does plan on getting ... I have a Longhorn with air suspension and his Rebel is much higher than mine even in Aero mode ... If I adjust the height on my air suspension for off-roading for example it probably is about as high as his ... I only raise the suspension when I want to get underneath to change my oil ... I would suggest when you're on the lot just as the sales person to show you a truck with the air suspension and see if it is high enough for you ... The standard suspension, based on my son's truck, might just be all you need ...

Stay away from air, others have had problems and ended up pulling the air bags and replacing it with regular suspension
I've had 3 Ram Longhorns now with air suspension and never had any problems, and I'm here in Canada where the temperature right now is -2 degree's F and feels like -15 F with the windchill ...

Make sure you give it a good test drive first. Because I purchased a new Rebel and it handles like crap. I had it back to three dealers over a 4 month period trying to get the steering fixed with no luck.
It would wonder side to side all of the time and at all speeds, and it would change lanes when stepping on the throttle, and it was worse when it went into cruse mode by lowering the suspension automatically . I noticed this during the test drive, but thought it was just the wet roads as it was raining. I ended up giving it back and purchased a Sport without the airbag system.
Plus there are a lot of problems with the air ride system failing especially in colder weather, and the repair parts are normally on back order.

IMO...If you are wanting a lifted look all the time, then why would you even mess with the air suspension? Can't you get a mopar lift kit installed when ordering? Do that then you'de be set for 35"s without having to add anything.

Can't order it that way...at least from building it on the website. I'll ask the dealer tomorrow.
