Just finished installing my ZWNAV Tesla Style Radio. It looks great, all wheel controls working, heating/air controls working, bluetooth and Wifi working. Kind of a pain to download apps but so far very satisfied with the unit. I did read somewhere that you can modify the connector on the original camera and it will work on the ZANAV. If anybody has any insight on it, please share it. Thanks for ZWNAV and forum users for you input in helping me get this installed. Haven't tried playing a movie through USB thumb drive but will let you know how it goes.

The name of the company is ZANAV. So far I have gotten great customer service. Every questioned I asked here I also asked ZANAV. I have to say the responded quickly and provided me excellent guidance in getting it installed. The system provided a new backup camera but I read in one of the forums that your current backup system will work but you have to change the connect that plugs into the Uconnect. ZWNAV couldn't provide that because it isn't part of their wiring harness.

Where did you purchase it from? Did your truck come with auto climate control and a 7 speed fan? Have you checked the connection for the AC controls to make sure it was fully seated?
Purchased from ZWNAV. Yes it did come the auto climate control and a 7 speed fan. Did get it to work after hearing from ZWNAV. Thanks for you interest in helping.

Sadly to say I had to send the ZWNAV back. It just wouldn't stay connected to bluetooth or my hotspot. I decided to purchase a Linkswell Gen 4. It was a little easier to install. I was able to plug my stock camera right in, and all of the others controls all worked. Really happy with the system and the bluetooth and wifi don't disconnected on a whim. Have downloaded Carweb Guru and have the home screen like I want. Carplay works fine. All in all really happy.

Post a pic of your Carweb Guru home screen.

I recently purchased one of these head units from China. I like it. It is snappy and works well. After purchasing item, the seller contacted me and said that I needed to pay another 20USD for reprogramming, because of the kind of A/C in my Ram 1500. OK.. I found it odd, but accepted it.
When the unit arrived and I installed it, I was slightly disappointed.

I was hoping that the software would be tailored to the vehicle. Instead I'm getting these generic images showing when the car door is open and the image of what looks like an Aston Martin. I asked the seller if these can be changed and he said No.
I happen to know that the answer is false as if I would have bought the unit from Phoenix or Linkswell, I would have this..

Clearly that is a Ram.. and the other icons in the youtube video were also correct. I'm pretty sure that both Phoenix Automotive and Linkswell do purchase their units from the same factory. So how do they customize the logos on their units?

Also, the reversing camera seems to be of a very low resolution compared to the crystal clear image I used to get with my factory 8" display. Would appreciate help in that area.

I'm not completely upset. These aren't deal breakers in me using the unit. I like the idea of using Waze on this.. It works brilliantly. I just wished for a little bit more attention to detail.

Is there anyone that can help me with getting my head unit to appear more factory?
1. I would like to change the vehicle icons to show the Ram or at least a truck.
2. I would like to get the camera to be more clearer.
3. Maybe change the theme a little.

Take a look at this facebook group. There is a guy that makes custom firmware that can be modified.

I had the same issue with the camera. The old camera and display were lower resolution, so putting the lower resolution on a higher resolution display doesn't look as good. I sold the factory camera and bought a fairly cheap one on Amazon that works great.

Thanks for the link. Yeah, I'm in contact with that group already. The guy as for a screenshot of my system details. Turns out my unit is 1600x1200 resolution and he doesn't have a firmware for it.

When he mentioned the resolution, it was then that I understood that my 8" screen was from 2014 and probably not of great resolution, hence I guess the camera image was also not a high resolution cam as well.

I guess I will have to live with that part. As for the icons, the guy on the group said that he was working on firmware for my unit and will let me know when it is ready.

This is the link. It came directly from China. After you purchase the item, they will ask you to pay an additional fee of 25USD for preprogramming the canbus once they confirm what kind of A/C you have. It is worth it as my unit worked well with my AC right from the start. I can attest to that. I've heard reports where people have bought units from Phoenix and other places where it didn't work. I even bought a different unit from a store here and they said that I needed to put the old AC behind the Android in order for it to work. I knew that was BS, returned it and got my money back.

This unit is worth it, minus the tiny issues I've highlighted above.

Just wait for the custom firmware. He really knows what he's doing and will be far more responsive then the Chinese seller.

Its not that the seller can't change this, its that they won't because they don't care (the mentality is that's what you bought).

@SitKneelBend I intend to do just that. To the seller's credit though, they've been accommodating with my questions and queries. They checked and then came to me with the answers.

I'm guessing that vendors like Phoenix Automotive and Linkswell are using custom firmware as well.

That's actually an excellent resolution for that size screen IMO, however, it seems to suffer from reflection and low brightness, unless you just don't have brightness maxed out. If I remember right, the originals were only 1024x600 or something really low like that.

When I took the picture, the brightness was set low. Now it is up. All in all, I'm happy with the unit. For the moment, I'm just going to keep it as is and be content till an updated firmware is released on that facebook group. The guy does know what he is doing and frankly, I think his work is a lot better than what Phoenix or Linkswell are offering.

Guys, I just found this forum and its awesome. I have tried communicating with Phoenix and Autotec on these PX6 units. Phoenix has a FB page as well. They said something about carplay is wireless connect phone to radio, but android is wired connect phone to radio. I'm confused. Stock 5" allows bluetooth connection to my android phone and steering wheel button to answer the phone. Will this feature be preserved in the Phoenix, Linkswell, Autotex PX6? Or do I have to plug my android phone into the car every time I get in?

So, guys, does the PX6 link an android phone to the PX6 only via usb wire, or can it also link via bluetooth? My stock 5" radio connects to my phone automatically via bluetooth (once it is first paired), and I can receive calls and make them via my truck radio. I don't want to lose this function NOR do I want to plug my phone in every time I get in the truck. What has you experiences been? Thinking Phoenix, Linkswell OR autotecpro?

It connects via Bluetooth or USB via android auto or apple carplay
