Oops, anyway the question was going to be: white lite in fog/snow is counter productive. There is good amount of science behind this but the short and sweet is that a 3500k is the best light readily available to increase the distance you can make out objects in heavy fog conditions. Its like turning on your high beams in a blizzard. No good. I havent had my HIDs in any real white out conditions yet but I will vouch that in dense fog they are not a good thing.

So I have 2 questions.
Has anyone put an HID lamp straight into the factory vertices fog housings? -as we all know they are pretty useless at casting light-
Has anyone ran 3500k fogs with a 5 or 6000k HID headlamp in any of these conditions? Led or hid

Very nice. I just ordered mine, and will be installing this weekend. Looking forward to seeing this.

Install literally takes 60 seconds per side. But I zip tied the plugs up so they’re not swinging around and don’t get caked in ice and slush come winter

Have you had any problems with these lights? I’m thinking about getting them.

Quick question.

when you turn the truck off/lights off do the fog light keep changing from yellow to white with each cycle?

Short answer...yes
Shut em off as yellow, turn back on as white...etc

Get them, they are great. Had mine 7-9 months, no issues

Hi guys,
I recently upgraded my halogen fog lights to LED's, after 2 months the right bulb started to flicker and eventually burned out, I then switched to the sylvania LED's from canadian tire and again after 1 month they stopped, the only difference this time is i noticed it occurred after i took the truck to the power wash, all i did was rinse the truck off and no where near the undercarriage as i got it sprayed at crown.
im assuming the light or wiring or something got wet and it caused the short out, its actually a design flaw in my opinion as the lights are basically just sitting behind a plastic flap with easy access from underneath which would also allow water/snow/salt debris to enter.
Both times i pulled the lights out they were covered in grime and crap, anyone else have this issue? maybe its worth to with back to halogens? Its mind boggling how a 2021 year truck still has Halogen bulbs as stock... pretty pathetic, your driving down the road with flashlights if you don't upgrade.

Only problem I had with using LEDs in the factory fog housings was it made them useless in fog and snow storms.
Upgrade the fog lights to a set of Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Pro level SAE Fog lights:
Nice wide beam that's kept low, work great even in near white out conditions.
