General Grabber A/Tx on our lighter trucks. Too bad that's its a 2 ply sidewall.
Everybody with Smaller Trucks seem to love them. But everyone with the heavy ones complain about how fast they wear out. I really liked the looks of them . I'm the guy that likes Raised White letters. Never tried them . Given their Reputation on Beasts such as these . I don't think I will.

well duh. Why finance a truck if you are going that route. might as well pay cash. pretty sure the interest on a 1600 dollar set of tires isn't going to break me.
Let me explain it in terms yopu may understand, you are financing the truck over 5 or more years, tires will last 2 or 3, but you will still be making payments and paying interest on them long after you toss them out. Kind of like financing a truck over 10 years. Like the others said, do what you want, but financing anthing where the interest isn't tax deductible is bad financial planning, financing disposables like tires for twice their service life is REALLY bad planning.

I am running Toyo AT 3’s on my PW, Jeep GC, and Ram 1500 4x4. They are a fantastic tire, not loud, plenty aggressive, and fantastic in the snow/rain. I live in AK and am hard on tires due to our conditions, as well as numerous hunting, fishing, and RV towing trips throughout the year. As others have said, the Toyo and Nitto brands are both manufactured in the same factory and owned by Toyo. Good luck on working your situation out

So because of fk ing covid or whatever you want to blame it on, tires are super backordered right now. I'm getting another set and having it rolled into the loan on my PW so my wife doesn't kill me when I spend more on it later..... I want trail grapplers as I've ran them before and have been super happy with them but I also don't need to wait for several months. I live 300 miles from the dealer and don't trust anyone in my little town to mount tires on black rims without them fk ing the rims up.

They can get BFG KO2's without an issue. They're just soooo boring. I'm currently having them looking into BFG KM3's and some mickey thompsons. Pretty much everything else right now is backordered as far as thee eye can see. Anyone have any strong opinions on tires one way or another? I'll probably end up waiting to get trail grapplers but who knows. I'm still in B1 status on my truck so I'm guessing I'll have at least a month before I see it.
They're black rims, how can they get messed up, we use those for snow tire rims as they're just plain rims anyway

I just got Toyo Open Country AT III's. Have about 1000 miles on them so far and I think they are great. Much better than the "touring" tires my 2019 Ram came with, and they are available in 22s. Just a little more noise than my original Goodyear's but not bad at all. Certainly not with a 900 watt 19 speaker sound system! Went hunting last week and they did great on back trails. They do rub a little bit on tight turns on the inside plastic fairing. Must be the higher tread. I can trim the plastic back or just not worry about it. Thoughts?

Some tire installers don’t give a fk. I had a set of black wheels get scratched to hell. They also pressed grooves in them because they didn’t put the Teflon fingers on when they gripped the wheel. I live in a po dunk town. Old equipment.

Your immaturity is without a doubt in full display with this comment of yours assuming all of us don't have credit cards .... but you "Must" be that one person who maxes out his credit cards and has no clue how to actually use credit cards to your advantage ....

First you ask everyone what you should get, making it an emphasis that you want to finance, yet you really expect for people to not criticize your poor decisions when it comes to how you planned to get your tires?

Your poor wife seriously, you seem like the type of "husband" who just doesn't give a care about anyone but yourself, "but babe it's going on the loan already, we are good !" ....

You already have tires and good tires at that, yet you want to put your family in a financial predicament, if others can do with those exact tires in the exact driving conditions as you why can't you? lol ... You wanting tires now seems like it's not because you "need them" but because you "want them" which is fine to want, but man you are doing it all wrong ... lol ...

Geesh. I swear no one has ever financed a thing in there life here. Well a few not all. I actually have zero credit cards. Anyways. I appreciate the tire advice. I’ll have you know for everyone that is concerned about the way i choose to buy my tires I’m putting 25000 down on my truck with my trade and another 3500 cash. Make all you tire finance scared people feel better? For anyone that isn’t single it’s pretty hard to justify just blowing 2000 bucks on a want vs a need so it’s why I chose to do it this way. At the end of the day it really doesn’t matter what way you slice it. It’s still 2000 bucks a guy doesn’t need to spend but if you look around the power wagon forum there’s hardly anyone who runs stock stuff for long.

And of course on a side note. No one needs 35s. Heck none of us need a new power wagon either. The bulk of us could get by with a 1990 2wd s10.
I didn't need a Power Wagon. But I wanted a Truck. That was going to be able to go anywhere I wanted to go. Without a lot of worry about getting there, or breaking anything. My Power Wagon fits that description better than anything else out there. Did I need 35's ? No. But my Wife is Vertically challenged 5'4". I wanted to get the size Tires I was planning on staying with early on. So she would be used to that extra inch. Once she finished complaining about Climbing in and out. I wouldn't have to hear it after the next Tire Purchase. Because it's sitting exactly where it's going to be. Now she's used to it. I think they should have Shipped the Power Wagons with 35X12.50X17's. IMHO. They're a lot better Fit. that extra inch of Width per tire on a 7,000 pound Truck doesn't hurt with most Traction issues either. It's too heavy to float much.

I’m trying to make a decision on tires now. When I purchased my 35” TOYO MTs in 2019 I paid 1200$ installed. I guess now I’m looking at double that in the current market. I don’t want to downgrade to a cheaper tire either. I was looking at a set of NITTO ridge grapplers that look pretty sick. Discount tire can get them easily. Does anyone have any input on the ridge grapplers? How to they handle in mud? Or should I just stick with the MT’s.
I just put the ridge grapplers on my truck a month ago. So far I don't have any complaints, been through snow, rain and dry. No mud yet, but that will change this weekend. I was going to go with the jrnda klever rt as the price point and reviews were great. Also a tire to note is the new mickey thompson baja boss at.

It's your money. Spend it however you want. If your happy, and the Wife's happy. Everything else is just noise. Lord Willing. I'll be around a while longer. As long as my Power Wagon doesn't get totaled, or rust out. I don't plan on Buying another truck for myself. But that's me. That's why I bought exactly what I wanted. Every other Truck I've purchased over the years, has always been a Compromise for various reasons.

Pay for the tires cash instead of the down payment. Lot lower interest rate. Money ahead. I take my tires and wheels off when I buy the truck ( within 5k miles) put them away and when I go to sell or trade it, it has nice shiny factory tires and do a lot better on trade. If you leave the oversized tires on the truck, a used car manager will think it has been offroaded all its life. Just a thought.

So truck is 65 just for easy sake. I put 1500 dollars worth of tires on it. for easy sake. I'm at 66500. 3500 cash down. financed 63000. Buy tires cash. Truck costs 65000. Now I have a down payment of 2000. Still financing 63000. I don't see how it matters either way. The only way I'd come out better would be to do the 3500 down, don't buy what I want and try to convince my significant other who could give a rip less about vehicles that I need 35's. Ditch the stock ones now, recoup the money and call it a day.

Here's today's lesson, kids.....

* Some guys have huge egos and can't admit that maybe, just maybe, their idea isn't the best....As I said earlier....who cares - it's your money. People simply gave their opinion and you scoffed at each one.

* "tire finance scared people" Nothing for us to be scared about. Your the one who's tires will be off the truck and shredded while still paying for them (but at least you'll have that $2700 in the bank)

* Having "zero credit cards" is not a good idea for credit purposes because it doesn't provide a history of making on-time payments and showing financial responsibility to the credit agencies.

* I have 2 credit cards and haven't paid a dime in interest since I was 20. I use them as opposed to carrying loads of cash or using a debit card. I also collect the points.

* It's not hard for me to spend money on a want vs a need. I don't need to hide from or fool my wife about my purchases. If we can afford it, then we buy what we want because we're in a pretty good financial situation. Out of respect, I will say "I'm ordering a $1000 tonneau cover" or "I'm getting some decent tires put on the truck, they're about $1200", etc.

* You're a person who will begrudge any mindset that is different than your own. I suppose the forum is good for lowly tire advice but how dare anyone offer basic financial opinions.

* I've wasted enough of my time with this topic. Enjoy the new tires.

.
