A lot of power wagon people do. I really like them in black but I wanted closer to an 18 offset and a wider wheel. Hence the methods. Again in hind sight I wish I would have bought new tires for my fuels and kept my old stock setup but hind sight is 2020. I didn’t think I’d be selling the 18 but the resale was good and the 8 speed will be nice.

Smart left this discussion shortly after it started. You can't teach a Heinz Pickle that it is still just a cucumber dressed up. Don't waste your breath trying to help this OP, he has zero appreciation of good advice and is going to do exactly as he wants, despite asking for advice. He only cares about input that agrees with him.
I am noticing more and more people who unless you say something they agree with they will completely try to patronize you lol .... but now I see why so many questions on here are going unanswered by newcomers and even some veteran members on here ....

I put a new set of Ridge Grapplers on annually (we’ve tried other tires they all wear out in a year). I have a friend who runs Mickey Thompson’s on his dually and he swears by them.

Hoping you put a lot of miles on them in a year!

Yeah some people like to be haters. Stick to the original question. sometimes it's hard. I'm just as guilty as the others in this case.

Glad to see people seemed happy with the ridge grapplers. I commend people who buy tires strictly for their intended purpose though. I'm kind of that guy. I guess I mean I would rather have the best looking tire that performs the best. As I stated earlier in another post, if nitto could slap the sidewall of the trail grappler on a ridge grappler or a toyo r/t I'd be in heaven. Best sidewall design in the business as far as I'm concerned.

I put 295/70/18 Ridge Grapplers on my '19 Rebel with 1½ spacers and apart from a slight tire rub at full lock I really like them. Quiet on the road and better in the desert than the originals. I had 22k on the oem and I sold them for $100

My goal honestly is to get 60k to 65k out of mine lol .... I don't go offroading at all, straight up a pavement princess but they do the job out here in Southern California, no driving in the snow or ice, some rain driving which is where these tires excel ...

I got in a car accident back in the late 90s and it was in the rain ... so I needed a good tire to stop me from having anxiety attacks while driving in the rain lol !!

I have a little experience with nitto rg's and Toyo RT's and given a choice I would take RT's but if no RT's were available I would have no issue with RG's. The funny thing is visually the RG's look bigger but when you actually put a tape measure to them the RT is slightly bigger.

The 35 12.50R17 Toyo R/T's tread pattern is bereft of sipes when worn down to a 8/32" tread depth. A good choice of tire for snow and ice driving on mountain highways with guardrails, such as Interstate 70.

Just about any tire worn down that far will have minimal sipes left.

Those look like they would be a complete **** show on ice and snow!

Duratracs at 7 to 8/32" certainly hold on to the siping.

Not much better than those rt’s! The siping on the durtracs is much more pronounced than that when new.
Yeah, not much left on the ST Maxx that I ran down to the 6/32" legal minimum (Colorado winter traction law) either.

Well I'm excited for the truck and new shoes and wheels. I've got to transfer all my suspension over. Glad I saved all the oe stuff so I can swap it in the next month. Hopefully it's worth a couple more years of payments.

apparently the truck is ready to be shipped now. I have the suspension off and it's almost ready to be traded in. Just need to take a look to see if there's anything I missed. Wish I could keep the exhaust but I'm not about to buy new stuff just so I keep keep my used stuff. That will come eventually. Dealer has the R/T's and everthing else ready to go.
