Looking to upgrade my tow mirrors on my 2018 3500 to power folding and wondering if anyone had used A1 before? They are definitely cheaper than OEMs but I don’t want to have low quality mirrors that shake and whatnot. They also have a lifetime warranty.

Here’s a link to what I’m talking about. https://www.1aauto.com/2013-18-ram-...ror-set-trail-ridge/i/trmrp00042/1111812/2018

Should be plug and play and just need to get the new modules in the doors and activate with alpha

I have 1A power folding on mine. Me and my son both bought them at the same time but he has since traded his truck. They work fine. My ONLY 'complaint' (if I can even complain about it) is that one mirror folds slightly faster than the other. Doesn't bother me a bit.
I think mine were the TMPS00042's. Mine have puddle lights, turn signals, power fold, heat. I think everything except memory. I'd buy them again.

@Gordo2212 - I just did the same thing on my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 - I worked with Benny (@AllMoparParts.com) to ensure I got the correct door modules and window switch

Window Switch - Mopar (68319803AA) though this is for grand cherokee - but I wanted the switch to be back illumination as thats what I currently have

Door modules your supposed to use
68286791AA
68286790AA
For Power Folding + Tow mirrors.

From Benny's understanding these modules take into account the orientation of the mirror and reverse the switching so its correct when in the tow position or not.

I have the same issue as @dahy13 the passenger window folds .5 sec faster than the drivers.

I ordered the

PART TRMRP00043

The one feature I lost was the reverse tilt function - but I will take power folding over this minor inconvenience.

I used the 1A Auto/Trailridge mirrors on my '16 1500 when I did mine. Going from power folding regular 1500 mirrors they were all plug and play short of adding the tow mirror sales code to my 1500. They're not bad mirrors at all and look identical to the OE tow mirrors, but I'm replacing mine soon since the powerfold on one is pretty shot after 5.5 years and one of my led's is burned out. That said they saw alot of dirt, dust, sand and the one with powerfold/led issues has been hit a few times by either idiots or trees and such offroad so it's nothing against the quality of the mirrors.

Since I much prefer Ford/GM tow mirrors I'm giving these a shot after finding a couple of reviews on the various iterations out there. While I don't expect them to look quite right on a Ram, after a few back/neck surgeries I don't care too much about the looks anymore just something a bit more functional without having to tow my ghost trailer =P.

Correction to my post - didn’t loose reverse tilt function - truck reset to factory on install of new modules - just had to go into the touchscreen and turn reverse tilt function back on - so all good

Boost Auto parts makes a great mirror. I went with the gym style for my truck. Great fit and finish.3ADAC1F2-8D0C-48F5-8BAF-A51EB3F1CEBD.jpeg

Thanks for the info on the A1s. I think the ones you’re referencing are the chrome ones, I’m looking for the black ones. Looks to be the only difference from what I posted

I have a set of the A1 TrailRidge mirrors. 2017 1500 with factory power fold mirrors.

I bought black power folding, tow mirrors with puddle lights and the heated option.

Had them on the truck for a little over a year and use them almost every time I park the truck other than at home. The passenger side mirror began not fully opening, which was very annoying. Seems worse when it’s below 40* air temp.

I contacted A1 and provided proof of purchase and said I needed a new passenger side. They ended up sending two brand new (driver and pass side) mirrors. Did not ask for the old one/s back.

Great customer service!

My only complaint is I did not change the door modules so when the mirrors are up for towing I have to think and play with the adjustment button to get the mirror to move in the correct direction.

I’m not a fan of the Ram tow mirrors as the convex mirror in the non tow mode is almost useless and going from non tow mirrors I lost quite a bit of vision… but that is nothing against A1/Trail Ridge, just the Ram design.

I did buy the rivnuts and factory tow mirror support brackets as well. No wobble or vibration.

Why did you lose reverse tilt? I just finished up this mod and was able to enable the reverse tilt setting in alpha

It was user error - when I installed the mirror I just had to back into the settings in the radio and tick off the box for reverse tilt and all was good. my error..
