Where we live, in the cooler climate it's probably the most ideal for battery life. I have had several yellow-top batteries, and AGM's. And many years of L/A batteries. The Yellow-tops do last a little longer, maybe a yr or possibly a tad more, although I've had some that lasted a lot less. But they cost almost twice as much as a lead-acid battery. AGM's are somewhere in between. I still do have a couple Yellow-tops (due to their compact size) but dollar for dollar the L-A batteries are the best value (based on my experience).
But in other environments (e.g. warm climates) L-A batteries don't live nearly as long, so maybe other technologies are better.
Walmart Batteries: I don't usually buy them, but it's essentially a JCI battery (like 80% of the batteryies out there). TOTL batteries use non-recycled lead and acid. Tests done on youtube that were pretty detailed, actually showed the Walmart batteries were a better value than the others (they cost a little less). But since they had a direct RAM replacement that's what I went with. I imagine other outlets sell the same battery with a different sticker.
