I need some help in what my next project for my truck. its a 2009 with 160k hard miles. I dont want to go to big on the project. for example so far I have done S&K air intake, BBK shorty headers, electric fan, front bumper and light bar, diablo tuner.
I don't really care about aesthetics to much my truck paint job is toast and it has more dents then a golf ball.
I would like to lean more towards performance. or something could help out with over landing and offroading.
i thought maybe put in a limited slip diff. anybody else have any ideas that i can do lets say no more then $500

find a used unlocked tuner on ebay or craigslist or marketplace and install a canned tune
for example an old superchips for your year would be really cheap
best bang for buck for sure!
Even locked ones can be unlocked for not too expensive usually.

Are you looking for strictly performance or anything in general? It would help if you gave a comprehensive list of your current mods so that we could give suggestions on additional supporting mods rather than trailing off with "stuff like that". We can certainly help with spending your money if we know what direction you're wanting to go and what you've done. :p

If you're thinking aesthetics, post some pics. If performance and you don't have a tune, that's it 100%.

If you're running a canned Diablo tune, the biggest bang for your buck will be a custom tune from hemifever or Jay Greene tuning. Better shocks for offroading is an option as well. LSD will cost more than $500 even if you install yourself and if you're going that route, you should go the truetrac route

Buy a nice used dirtbike. Hell of a lot more fun and a hell of a lot cheaper than trying to get your kicks out of a pick up truck.

Thank you for your insight but that does not really answer my query.

He already has dirt toys too.

I'd go with a custom tune since you already have the headers, intake and mech fan delete.

Ehh not sure if I would just yet, you are going to throw a CEL with the cats being gone unless you stack a few defoulers on the O2 sensors. And all you will really gain is sound if you don't tune it for that. And your truck is already pretty loud as is.
