Our 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins is a Laramie with a 6 Spd. Standard Transmission. Kind of surprising that it has the fluff with a stick. My 1998 K1500 with a stick is a Cheyenne with a V8 and roll up windows. No fluff, but it's even less fluff than my 2016 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon. I like shifting.
I prefer Shifting myself. I miss it. Especially in the Mountains. My Wife Prefers Auto's. Doesn't matter. She Refuses to Drive my PW. But I like everything else about the Power Wagon. I will live with the Auto.

Sorry, had a snoop looking through my historical posts.
I hope it wasn't me. I've looked at a lot of your old posts. I find a lot of useful info. Especially Tires. No one knows Tires better. I know a little. But I learn a lot from people in this Forum .

No, everyone on this forum has useful info. I'm no tire expert either.

There's been a lot more tire choices and availability in the past 5 years for all season usage with a 3PMSF rating. I just scan the internet and read the reviews like everyone else. Glad that my 35's fit in the spare location, but a little bit on the too tight side. Wouldn't have gone to 35's without knowing that there wouldn't be an issue. Learned it here.

What do you do when you run chains? Or is there no clearance issues? Must be damn close if there isnt.

Chains are illegal here in michigan, which seems ridiculous to me…but anyway, ive always wanted to get a set for wheeling in the snow.

These are on a stock power wagon with 35’s if i remember correctly.

We had some minor clearance issues with both chains and cables on both our 2014 and 2016 Ram 2500's 4x4's with 285 75R17, 285 75R18, and 35 12.50R17 tires. Had to bend in the bracket which holds the parking brake cable. Also carry heavy rubber chain tensioners to keep the chains centered. Got a thumb width of clearance between the parking brake cable and the chain attachment hook which is the least amount of clearance.

I've run chains on the rear with the lockers engaged from Gateway, Colorado through mud and then through deep snow on the way to Moab, Utah via Castle Valley on my old 285 75R17 tires with no issues, except for high centering the truck. Had to turn back (last photo).

Haven't used my chains on my 35's yet, but carry them due to it's our Colorado Code 16 traction law when implemented. Our snow on our private dirt road stays put for 4 to 5 months. Chains are a must have to live rural.

First 3 photos are Titan chains on the PW 35's.

So at what point does it become 16 and who decides if you need chains and 4x4 should probably stay home throw in some 30 below lol

I think the chain law in Colorado is for commercial trucks. Other vehicles are chains or adequate snow tires and/or 4X4. Let me know if the idiot in Denver has changed that.

I've never seen Code 16 implemented by CDOT around here since our snowplow drivers simply close the gates so that they don't have to deal with an impassable highway.

The latest update to the traction requires 6/32" minimum tread depth.

Thanks- I stand corrected. I think they should shut down the main highways when conditions warrant. All the mega crashes on I-70 shuts down the roadway anyway so shut it down before the big crashes.
