I just added this Go Rhino rear hitch step for about $115.00. I added it to protect the rear of the truck. There are too many idiots out there not paying attention or texting. It probably won't do much in a high speed hit, but it will most likely protect my truck in case someone rolls into it at a stop light. I also got a locking pin because people like to steal stuff.

I'm gonna get one of these and then fill it full of concrete!! It'll be a pretty solid step.

Cheers

I got this one, added a locking pin. I might drill out the holes and add a tighter bushing to eliminate some of the slop. But, it's a nice, super heavy step that can double as a retrieval point, it's solid steel.

I like it! Should definitely help with rear impact collisions. I just keep my hitch in for that.

I seem to need a step on the side of the bed more than the rear of the bed (especially towards the front of the bed). I usually have the tailgate down when I'm loading/unloading something from the bed.

I got it on Amazon. Here's the info:

Go Rhino D360T Textured Black Powder Coat Finish Universal Dominator Hitch Step for 2" Recievers

Nice! Thanks for the info, I like that one better than the one I have (the chrome version of the one Loudram has).

Had this one for several years. Pivots left or right when you need it stowed out of the way. Extends far enough to be used when the tailgate is down. Not expensive. Bully hitch step on Amazon.
