Just curious to see how many 2009 original owners are on here and how your Ram has fared over the years.

I purchased my 2009 Ram 1500 TRX4 in October of 2009, sticker was 42k and got it OTD for 29k. It's sitting at 166k miles now as my 3rd car and tow/camp rig. The original transmission went out at 150k and was replaced under the lifetime warranty after some arm twisting. The power steering rack went out at 120k. Outside of that it has been trouble free.

My mods are; 4 inch Rancho suspension lift with Fox adjustable coil overs later added, 1.25 inch rough country body lift,
apoc rear control arms, Kore CV axles, magnaflow exhaust, Fastman ported TB, alpha rex headlights, rough country rear bumper, leer cap, bed rug, and I'm sure a bunch I'm forgetting.20211220_170524.jpg20220118_130117.jpg

What a difference a year makes, us guys with 2010's and beyond would have to pay for that lifetime warranty. I actually bought a 2009 jeep, I sure wished I would have bought my ram at that time instead. Traded that 2009 jeep on my 2010 slt ram, and yes I was 24k plus tax out the door on my 4x4 slt 5.7. 2009 ram owners a lucky group, congrats.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised there aren't more 2009 original owners out there. I know having the lifetime warranty is why I still have this truck, if it wasn't for the warranty I probably would have given in to the temptation to get a 5th gen.

Nice looking!

Owners in the rust-belt regions probably aren't faring so well. By now early 4th Gens are rusting out around here. A neighbor of mine bought one about that yr and within a couple years of salt exposure the box fender wells were rusting through. Then the rockers and cab corners started rusting in about 5 years. He washed it a lot but obviously didn't wash underneath (enough). Another neighbor of mine has a 2013. Nice tk but same rust issues. GM's that age are rotting fast too. The 2010-ish Fords I've seen still seem pretty good though.

But yours looks nice. Slightly fewer electronic to fail on yours. Congrats. Hopefully many more yrs of good camping/driving.

Yeah, both front and rear bumpers rusted out on mine in 2019 but those were easily replaced. The rest of the body is holding up pretty well.
