Thinking about the 2" Mopar level on a yet-to-be-ordered 2022 Longhorn. Decided to play safe with the warranty. I've read several posts that say it's "even better than stock." But honestly, does this make the ride a any worse than stock? Am also planning air suspension for this build. Has anyone compared before and after recent Ram with air suspension?

Note: To be honest I'm just doing it for vanity. Currently have a stock 2012 Bighorn that rides buttery smooth. For some reason my stock Ram is like 2" higher than the new models.

The 5th gens are low. its borderline mandatory for at least a 2" leveling kit. The ride is slightly stiffer but also feels more planted in curves. Driver feedback is more positive. Are you planning to have the dealership do the install? Because there are other options that do not void warranties. The dealer tends to charge a lot of money that could be spent on better parts

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know you could the work done away from a dealer and still keep the warranty. I'd definitely do that. What do you recommend?

You can still do a mopar kit. My point was if you’re going to pay the dealer to install you’re getting into coil over money. Coilovers are the best ride you can get on a truck. Read through the forums. The mopar kit is Bilstein 5100 height adjustable struts that’s are a very popular option. They are the best bang for the buck. It comes down to what ya want to spend. As everyone has a different budget.

Ok I think I get it now. So I can buy a Mopar lift kit with the Bilstein 5100 height adjustable struts. I can buy this on my own and bring it to the dealer and they will install it. So it's all under warranty. And this is compatible with air suspension, Crew Cab and 6'4" bed? And I should have the traction control issue with this setup?

Negative there are zero options for factory air suspension leveling kits unfortunately

I just had the dealer install the factory lift yesterday and it seems to be a better ride all around. Still not as good as the 4th Gen or classic for some reason but much less cabin roll. It appears to be higher than 2 in also.

I am not sure on what kind. I order a truck with the offroad package and this is what they installed.

I had my local dealership put on they're factory 2 inch leveling kit on my front end since the back is already pretty high. Was told that they just use the Thorsen hockey puck. Rides much better and because of the after market bumper and winch I kept the factory shocks, at least for now. Rides great and doesn't impact factory warranty. Best part was they did it for the same price I would have paid the not so local off road shop.

I tried ordering this for my '22 and was told there still isn't an approved kit for the 2022's

That’s why we have preferred vendors on this forum. @Nick@GotExhaust can get you setup with a setup. Anything up to 3” on the 5th is what ram released according to 3 of my local dealerships. That would not effect the bumper to bumper warranty
