Like everything else the price of the 3500 that I would like to get, went up by about $1,700 today. I have been on the Ram website building a truck about once a week for a couple of months now. You know... like we used to do when the winter Sears & Montgomery Ward catalogs would come out before Christmas. :) I actually went to a dealer yesterday to try & strike a deal. I was pretty much satisfied with how much they were coming off the new truck but they were not even close on my truck! Like 6k off!!! I guess I will have to keep at it. My last truck took close to 4 months to get the deal I wanted.

Yeep ... we are planning on getting a Jeep and the prices are pretty up there ... I'm thinking about getting a 2500 myself and giving my 2018 Ram to my wife she said she would be willing to do that but she has been wanting a Jeep for a while now and I wouldn't feel right if I didn't let her get her Jeep ... We paid the 2016 Lexus off already so we can easily take on another payment but damn these prices are really high on everything lol ...

Bought a 2020 Summit Dec 2019. Looked at getting a 2021 Summit as that is the last year they will make it. Best price I could get was $13,000 higher than what I paid for EXACTLY the same Jeep, options etc. Not worth it to go up one model year on a car that only has 13,000 miles on it.

Last January my wife bought a new 2021 Bronco sport and paid $30,200. Last week my daughter-in-law bought exactly the same Bronco sport, same model and same features, except it was a demo with 800 miles. She paid $37,000 and felt she got a fair deal. I’m amazed.

I bought my 2019 Ram classic bighorn in October for $39,000…higher than I wanted to pay but it was the best deal I could find at the time. It had 33,000 miles and leather and spray in bed liner plus a metal roll up tonneau (that rattles ha).

Anyway, the same dealer has the same bighorn, only it’s a 2017, no leather, no bed liner, no tonneau and 60,000+ miles. Price is $5,500 more than I paid. Yep, $45,499 for a 2017 with 60,000 miles!!!!

He has a brand new bighorn for $10,000 more and a new classic tradesman for $3000 less. So why buy the used one???

I bought my used 2018 Sport just as the "pandemic" was beginning. Now, for a similarly-equipped used truck, dealers are asking close to $10k more than what I paid!

The thing that really stings is people that took the wait and see route thinking the chip and labor shortages would flatten and stabilize only to have large inflation numbers adding another layer to the the three tier **** cake. Like watching a slow motion car wreck.

Prices are going up on everything. Personally I'm not buying anything until I see where this economy goes. My opinion the bubble is about to pop and we will see prices drop. The bigger issue is that there won't be enough money to push the economy back up with inflation being so high. Just my opinion

With a 7% inflation rate holding on to our money is a big loss. If you need to finance larger purchases and the interest rate is anything less than the current inflation rate then you are doing well. I expect everything will come crashing down as we cant continue like this. We get what we vote for.

I looked at a reg cab longbed 2018 Tradesman 1500 in June '19 with 4500 miles for $23000. I cant find the same truck mow with 65-70k for less than 28k.
I have been window shopping since. I finally got a 12 SLT reg cab longbed with 93k miles for 13,600, New Years Eve. Ridiculous. and the guy really thought "he was doing me a huge favor" giving me a whole $300 off for (whatever the Hell this means) the "DOC fee" Yeah some favor. TAXES were $870. I have no idea what a "Doc" fee is I have never paid that before. What are they "doc-ing" me for there? The bank was talking like after taxes etc I might have to have some of my loan "unsecured" vs what they allow to be loaned out on that truck. Yet I see the same truck listed on Car Gurus 70 miles away for $18.some K and Car gurus says that one is a "great deal"? and that one has crank windows, rubber mat floor and black grille and bumpers.... Same year, close miles and more rust even. How do they judge what is a "fair" deal, a "good" deal and a "great" deal when some that are older, have more miles, less options that get a "great" rating while others with less miles, more options and newer are supposedly "overpriced"? Here is why it took me 20 years between vehicles bought from dealerships? I much prefer to deal on a "private party" deal but this time, there were none as I wanted available on the private party level. so if I was to buy a truck, I was gonna get screwed any way I looked at it.

A 2020 3509 Tradesman 8' CC has a trade in value of $65k, so price of 75 not that out of sight. Not many trucks out there and people who need/want one now are pushing up prices.

Just went by Toyota dealer where we bought our van, it is a large dealer in DC area and last service before COVID I actually got stuck in row as they had vehicles almost every square foot of lot. Today, they have a few vehicles parked sideways to look more loaded. Their sister dealership out near Ram dealer I go is closed for sales, just service. This stuff sends prices through the roof.

and the problem with the vote is like here, I live in ILLINOIS. but NOT CHICAGO. I am 2 counties away from that abyss. and the whole rest of Illinois can vote one way. Then CHICAGO comes in and votes their choice and outweighs/obliterates the wishes of the whole rest of the state. Look at a map. Look at how little percentage of real estate (acres, square miles, etc) "Chicago" is as compared to Illinois as a whole. yet Chicago, as small of a percentage of the square miles of the whole state as it is, decides everything and ruins it for the rest of us...... basically it's pretty much a waste of time for anyone that isn't directly a resident of Chicago itself, to vote..... Be nice if it fell into the Lake.

I checked out a few local dealer sites, and was amazed at the prices they wanted for high-mileage used Rams. Ridiculous prices!

Same with PA. Only 3 areas vote democrat. Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Erie. The rest of the state votes red yet we have elected dems for almost every state position for years. If you don't live in one of those 3 area you are not represented

If you can wait for a truck you are better off ordering. Any good dealer will still go below invoice, holdback removed and you won't be paying for the stupid dealer add-on's like paint/fabric protection. If they're low balling you on your trade take it to literally any other dealer and sell it for what you want for it. Brand matters not. Sold my 2017 1500 to a Lexus dealer because they offered me the most for it.
