Recently I tried to roll my power window down but it was frozen shut. I rolled it back up using the auto-up feature. When the window had completely defrosted it randomly dropped about half way down while driving. I tried to roll it up using auto-up, every time it hit the top it would rebound like something was in the way. I eventually used the manual up feature and got it to the top without rebounding back down. Could it simply be off the tracks or am I looking at replacing motors or any other electrical components?

EDIT: Window was off the track. Removed door panel and repaired it myself.

Sounds like it’s off track.

That happened to me the first winter I had my 2016 Ram. Drivers window popped when attempting to roll it down.
The glass went sideways and I had to use my hands to get it back in place, then bumped the window switch up to get it to hold into place. The marvelous glass retainer clip broke off in the door and had to be replace, thankfully it was under warranty at the time. The window lift mechanisms now are cable type not a scissor type of the old days
