Just bought a brand new 0 miles custom order 2022 Laramie 5500 chassis truck, drove it 405 miles and it lost power on the highway from 70mph down to nothing, and then failed to start again. After reading the horror stories of brand new $100k trucks bricking themselves before 1000 miles with cp4 trash, I'm wondering if Stellantis is still throwing this faulty unit in Mopar rigs, despite a massive recall that just began to be issued this month. My truck behaved exactly as described here and elsewhere indicators of a failed high pressure fuel pump. 365 miles of fuel left in the tank. I'm in disbelief as it sits waiting for diagnosis at a Ram Fleet Services Center here in Northern California.

Oh, the jumbo touchscreen failed to activate about ten miles before total failure of the truck.

1) just because Stellantis said so doesn't mean they did so.

2) identical behavior leading to the same results doesn't imply a design upgrade on any level.

3) QC and RAM products don't seem to play well together the last seven years.

only 19s & 20s got the faulty cp4 and you can visibly see the differance from that model and the newer 2021 model to confirm.
Whatever the issue may be id be doing a full refund and return and start a whole new build, unless its something silly stupid like a faulty fuel gauge. Any vehicle that has significant problems that quick is going to be a life long pita and a sign for you to run. Jmho
