For anyone who is interested to know, I have successfully added a heated steering wheel without upgrading my seats just yet. I have a ‘19 Express with the basic manual seats. I wasn’t wired for anything.

I ended up getting a leather heated wheel brand new for about $260 (has blue stitching which is great since my truck is a hydro blue), used clock spring, steering wheel harness, and a used heated seat module. I then ran all the wiring required for the heated wheel and updated settings in my UAS radio. I do plan on adding heated/vented seats down the road so I did run all of the fused wiring into the truck at the same time. I do still need to run the wiring from the driver to passenger seat but after that I should be fully wired up to be able to drop in some heated vented seats whenever I get around to buying some.

PS, please ignore the surround camera setting in the UAS, I’m working on getting rid of that, it shouldn’t be there.

@Mpgrimm2 would you mind emailing me the instructions as well. I have heated seats/steering wheel on my truck but I’d love to add vented/cooled seats, as that option was only available for the level 2 packaged.

Thanks in advance!

I’m glad that document and pictures are being put to use! @Mpgrimm2

I still need to get back in and troubleshoot my install to get the control soft keys for the seats to populate as well as my heated wheel why it clicks off after 3 sec AND the memory wiring to the door lol.

Got my Laramie seats from a 2016 installed into my 2019 Classic yesterday. Had a couple of hiccups with the wiring (my own fault) and finally got everything dialed in today. Debating on if I want to install the center console or keep my jump seat.

Shout out to Mpgrimm2 for making the wire harnesses for my seat conversion. Took out the old manual cloth seats from my tradesman and threw in the Longhorn Laramie seats. Mpgrimm2 over at M2 Mods was able to make my custom harness quickly and I gotta say it looks better than the factory wiring. Everything went in real easily and he gave me real good and complete instructions. Was able to add the heated, vented, power, memory, and inverter functions all before noon today and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! If you're going to do this swap then I cannot recommend him enough. Thanks man!

Just adding this in in case it helps others with the on screen seat controls using a 4c UAQ or UAS radio in a truck running 13-17 seats.....

I just did the Seat Module & UAQ Upgrade in my 2016 Tradesman. A huge shout out to

Mp grimm2 for the fantastic harness's he made and the help I was given. I couldn't have done this without his help. I originally had the grey cloth manual seats, now have 2013 leather, power heat and cooled front and rear heated seats. I had the heated seat module pn 68058083AL and i was told to replace it with PN 68217268AF if i wanted the touch screen controls to show up. It took about 30hrs for the truck to communicate with the new module and another couple after that before the controls actually showed up but they finally did and work great. I followed the instructions in this thread and @Roman217 ’s Post #2,697

How To: Install a 2018 4C (UAQ/UAS) Radio EDIT: UPGRADED HSM module 68217268AF for UAx
Thanks Guys!

Well I realized I never added wiring for the memory functions. Looking at all the wiring I already had it wasn’t much. Just had to run some can wires from under the dash to the yellow connector under the drivers seat. I also had to run some memory switch wires from the gray drivers door connector to the yellow connector under the drivers seat as well.

I can set a memory selection no problem, it even shows up on the EVIC that it was saved unfortunately if I adjust the seat and try to recall the memory setting it doesn’t do anything. Gonna go back and check my settings with alfaobd as I changed them a long time ago (before I even had the seats). I’m hoping it’s just a setting that I missed. I’m hoping it’s not an issue with the memory module being from a 2016 and my truck being a 2019 Classic.

Got the memory buttons working (well at least for the seat position, haven’t checked the mirrors yet). Scanned though this post and saw where someone mentioned having faults in the MSM. I connected to it with alfaobd and messed around and cleared faults and the buttons now seem to be working.

Forum vendor AllMoparParts has a sticky post on their section with all the PNs on a spreadsheet.

I believe this one was from a 2013 ...
(Part of my test bench)

Thanks Mpgrimm2, all the switch panels listed in doc. Start with 682. The one you posted is 681 and it searches out to be the 2013 only panel. Thanks for the info.
