How many miles on your brake fluid when you did the flush? Dealer is trying to tell me to have them flush it and I’m at 20k milesPowerstop Z36 all the way around. Was a planned upgrade, just not yet, but the front drivers was grinding, so had to happen now. Amazon shipped 3 front and 1 rear rotors, but they made it right. Did the break-in procedure, but felt it should be better, so did it again 2 days later, a little more aggressively, and now they're more like what I expected. Also flushed out the fluid with new dot 4. Old fluid was dirty, but not excessively so, but now I know when it's due again. Also adjusted the parking brakes while I was in there and now the pedal only goes halfway down instead of all the way to the floor.
Did the v6 fan upgrade a few weeks ago. Happy with it.
Insurance paid for the damage the other day. I've already purchased a grille guard I was looking at and I am looking at an aftermarket rear bumper.Yeah, he did manage to put a small dimple in the metal. I was surprised that the chrome bumper didn't have a scratch on it when it caused most of the damage to his SUV. I plan to take care of the scuffs in the paint that make the dent more noticeable and leave it alone until I eventually get some bodywork done to my truck.
I have a bumper you may be interested in. Im in south ms so if you are interested let me know. Ill try and get a photo as well. Its has the steps like a silverado and flat black in color.Insurance paid for the damage the other day. Wow.
50k miles and four years on my 2018. It’s super simple to do the old fashioned way. Get the wife/SO/teenager to pump the brakes as you open and close the caliper bleed fittings. Takes maybe 30 minutes, little messy and a $10 quart of DOT3 fluid. How many miles on your brake fluid when you did the flush? Dealer is trying to tell me to have them flush it and I’m at 20k miles

Honestly no idea. I do know tho that the fluid gets dirty pretty fast in these trucks. I intend to flush it again in about 2 years, which will probably be around 20k miles, so they may be right about it being due for a flush. But it’s not a job that’s worth paying for if you’re physically able to do it yourself, imo. You’ll pay $100 for labor on top of the materials. I did the “one man brake job” with the a hose submerged in clean fluid in a soda bottle. Super easy. How many miles on your brake fluid when you did the flush?
