What kinda jack are you using in case of a flat?

Hydraulic bottle jack, and I have no lift. The factory supplied one is next to useless in most circumstances.

If you lift under the axle the only variable is your tire height not lift size.
I am only leveled but I would use my hydraulic trolley jack at home and CAA (AAA)if I’m on the road

I bought a pair of HD scissor jacks (7000lbs rated) and I have a 5' jackall and my bottle jack has never been used from previous truck experiences.

I find the jackall interesting. There is hardly anything on a modern truck that you can put a jackall on unless you have replaced the front and rear bumpers. With a winch I am curious what you are using the Jackall for. At least with a bottle jack, you can put it under an axle or frame rail.

I do not use a winch.. when I get a land anchor then we'll get a winch. the trees here are to small for me to pull out my HD truck so I lift the truck up put trees under and drive away. The scissors are very useful for holding in place until a new grip and base for the jackall is spotted. Good for changing tires too.

So just out of curiosity, what are you actually jacking on. The OEM bumpers aren't near strong enough on any of the recent HDs I have seen to tolerate a jackall lifting the whole corner. The lip on a Jackall isn't real long so no way to reach in very far unless you built some king of an extension.

I live in the desert, so i carry a trolley jack

No jack can be used out in the sand, so you have to have a thick wide piece of plywood with you.

Scissor jacks are an ornament, too many times they collapse, there is no side to side strength

Over the summer, I had a blowout on a trailer tire. I'd tested the OEM truck scissor jack previously with the trailer and it worked fine. This time on the slanted shoulder of the road, once it started lifting the trailer off the ground it folded. I called AAA and now carry my Milwaukee Impact Wrench and a Harbor Freight 3-ton aluminum floor jack.

I have a Hummer surplus scissor jack with an Agile Offroad billet adapter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5Pit2WJ6dI https://agileoffroad.com/product/agile-h1-scissor-jack-axle-frame-jack-adaptor/ The handle of the Hummer jack is long so you don't risk your life pumping a bottle jack under there. It's near effortless jacking up my 9200# Cummins with Northstar popup and has a very large base. I have a 12 ton Craftsman bottle jack in San Diego if anybody's interested. It's 15 yrs old and seems well built.

I've had one flat due to torn sidewall. I used the OEM jack. Was on a hill on a dirt road. Worked great.

I wondered what the heck a "Jackall" was. Been calling that a High Lift jack for years. When did it change to "Jackall"?
Pretty handy at pulling up fenceposts.

Jackall is actually a trade name of a company that invented and make this type of Jack. Sort of like calling all snowmobiles, Skidoos or tissues Kleenex.

They are a great tool. Can be used as a come along, jacking out fence posts, spreader for opening up stuff. Uses are only limited by your imagination.

Hmm... I thought Hi-Lift was the original.
It is. If you look at their site they have the jackall model and quite a few others. It was originally called farm Jack, sheep herders Jack, rail jack etc, then it became the high lift with different models depending on accessories and configuration. .
