Hi y'all,
New to the forum. When the 4th gen came out, I just dug the hell out of it. Took a couple of years, test drove a 2011 3500 manual, then again a 2012 2500 (both Diesel, reg cabs) but finally bought my first new vehicle in 2014, a 2014 Ram 2500 Tradesman reg cab Diesel automatic . I loved that truck a great deal. Unfortunately, a 75' Maple tree fell on it and though it wasn't totalled, it was never quite right again.... not so much the truck's fault, it just came to be tied with some crappy times I was having with where I was living and whatever. I traded it for a new Challenger Scat Pack in 2016 ... A decision I regretted for the following 6 years.
Anyway, I finally had enough of the Ford F 350 I'd been limping along for the past 4 years, crop dusting soccer moms in thier SUV's every morning .... and I just happened upon two listings in the same day for low mileage 2500 cummins with 6 sp manuals. I hadn't even thought of the manual since that 3500 I'd driven back in 2011 n BAM, 2 in one day. .. I went to have a look at the lower mileage of the two with just under 20k on the clock (19,800 and some change)
There's a couple of PO added adhiesive backed and/or thread on "performance upgrades" I'm not particularly fond of (super bright cold white LED interior lights and the tints are a little heavy for my taste) but at it's foundation, it's bone stock and solid as a rock. Only issue I've run into is the batteries being toast. I ran through it with a meter and it charges fine with no draws to be found so I'm assuming it had some Covid related sitting time. Those will be replaced on what's left of the warrantee so that's no big deal.
Anyway, stoked to have it.
Nice to meet ye.
