Been a hot minute

Just south of 200k miles, the ol 3.7 gave out. We believe it dropped a valve seat on the drivers side. Since its my daily driver and trucks are INSANELY expensive nowadays, we decided to go on and eat the cost of throwing a remanned 3.7 in there. A few weeks and several thousand dollars later and its back out on the road. On a positive note, 4 year engine warranty, (hopefully) no leaking oil, and the entire driveline except the transmission has less than 10,000 miles on it.

Before the motor grenaded itself I had a few projects in progress and I've decided to tackle a few of those over spring break. First, I generously applied some sound deadener to the floor and the back wall, and it seemed to make a decent difference in road noise. I plan on hitting the doors and roof as well eventually.

I decided to replace the gray cover on my 2016 center console lid with a black one, then I got some tow mirrors and have rewired them to use WS2812 addressable RGB LEDs in the turn signals to match the headlights, and will be installing those in the next few days.

Just need new wheels and headlights and the blackout is done. (post in back not included).
Satin black wrap on bumpers and valence, side trim and step. Grill is painted. Scuffed up the chrome, painted with etching primer then satin black.

Zero thread locker according to instruction. torqued, driven five miles and retorqued. I even smashed my thumb. It put my 37's in beast mode.

I gotta ask-what's with the splash of gear oil?
guaranteed replies

Nah, but I like to do the 5qt oil jug + filter combo deal from the auto-parts store, so I'm always stuck figuring out what to do for the last 2 quarts. I usually have some oil around from other projects I'll toss in but this time I was just a little bit short and didn't feel like going to the store

Not today, but Saturday I charged the AC with AC Pro refrigerant and gauge kit. Sunday the compressor burnt up. Not sure if that was a cause and effect relationship or what.
So today I'm looking for a shop I can trust to replace it. I could by all the parts from Mopar for under $500 (Compressor-2 lines and dryer) and do the work myself over a weekend, But I don't have the equipment to evacuate and more importantly flush the system before putting it all back together.

Replaced my hayden fan reley with a simple relay and switch that only works when ignition is on. & switch has a light on it that is on when on.
This is the second hayden relay I blew over about 4 years, and found a wiring diagram that is different than stock hayden wiring, but that come too late.
I have not done any major work on my truck for a few years now - just stupid little things.

Most recently, 2-3 weeks ago I had new Pirelli's installed all the way around.
What's so amazing is even though tires have gone up a little, these were only $150 more for the set vs the NITTO's I usually run.
A no brainer.

TheWrenchMonkey here in Ontario near Toronto. Free shipping even to me up here in no man’s land. Mevotech CMS, not TTX. One step down from The TTX, but got them on sale. Bought the matching uppers and grabbed a set of the 1”-2” Rancho front shocks and 1”-2” rear Rough country shocks. Just a ****** to get around town but want to get it handling and driving good. Easing her from the dead lol.

I replaced the Ambient Temp sensor and pigtail. The ground side of the wire wouldn't hold solder and I had to break out the pipe flux.
