I have good news for you! This happen to me in my 2012 Ram 1500. I thought I was in for a huge bill . Turns out this is a safety issue where the truck puts you in this setting because the rear differential filters need service. There were a couple filters etc inside the differential that triggered the code, the shop serviced for me and i was out the door for $800. Make sure they service all of the filters while they're in there. Not just the one that through the code.When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Sounds like an excuse to drive the 'Cuda to me.

Say what? Rear diff filter? Huh, never heard of such a thing, esp multiple ones that would need to be wired up to throw a code. Did this dealer also put summer air in your tires and top off the blinker fluid?

I said, “quantify” not quantity. Completely different meanings. What are the part numbers for these “filters”? What was the code that was thrown? Where is this sensor located? All that will be on your receipt. Of there are filters in there I would like to change them. It’s weird though as I can’t find any rear diff filter on line or at my local napa.
