I've clayed it, I've compounded it with a buffer and will be waxing it using a buffer by next weekend. I work 70 hrs a week so yes I'm slow. Getting it ready for the show at Rockingham NC 4/16. More interested in the 1/4 mile dragstrip. Maybe it will run a 1/10th quicker being slicker in the wind! LOL

Was able to play with the Ram and get a few things done today.

Installed the rear Hellwig anti-sway bar.
I was totally amazed at how solid the Hellwig is. No question its a good 50% beefier in diameter, (old school eyeball method). Installation went pretty straight forward. Did need to squirt a little WD 40 to help get the end link nuts off, but that was it.

Gave it a test drive and didn’t notice any negative issues. In all rareness, as much as I’d like to say ‘ Wow…… what a difference!!! This thing really handles night and day differnt’.

But I can’t. I did notice that the tires are kept firmer on the road a bit more when turning. But nothing earth shattering. Keep in mind though, that my view and expectations are as such……. No ‘one’ component will drastically improve performance on a vehicle. Suspension wise or performance wise.

It is the ‘combination’ of components working together that can improve these.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the Hellwig, and glad I got it. I also have the front Hellwig to install, which should show more change, as well as compliment the rear bar to let that stand out even more too.

Then there’s shocks, tires, springs etc which all have their hand in it too.

Will keep you posted :waytogo:

enjoyed testing my all new front suspension with 2.5" level kit. Replaced everything two weeks ago, but, finally got to put some miles on it, new jba upper control arms, moog lower arms, timken bearings, moog inner and outer tie rods, kyb truck plus strut assemblies new axle shafts. Love the fact that my wife cant see over the dash cause now she dosen't want to drive it...lol. Did all of the rear 4 link suspension last month.

But now seeing the last two posts I wish I had got them seat fans blowing too!!
@dadbern I'm in need of a set of lower control arms. I saw Moogs for a really good price. Since you're running them, what do you make of them?

Had a Sylvania Silverstar Ultra low beam go out. Wasn't too pleased with the lack of white. I was going to go with the ZXE Gold until I seen the $75 price tag and a 1 yr warranty. Then I looked at the H11 led version. For $25 and a 5yr warranty, it would be worth it.

It says fog & powersports, but seen plenty of reviews from car/truck people. I called Sylvania up, and actually got an English speaker, and asked about how the assemble houses the bulbs in a chamber. What would their suggestion be keep the cap on or leave it open. If they would have said open, then back the would have gone. With the dirt roads here, it would have choked the fans in no time.

Anyway, same brightness as the 55w SSUs, BUT a nice wider pattern and the 6000k looks good to these old eyes. They are 12.5w, but I think a step up to 15 or 20 watts would be good and not crazy. I did not have any on coming flashes so I think they are keepers. When I get a lil more scratch, I think the 9005 versions are going in the brights.

Filled the hole under my back seat left by someone prior to my ownership. Thank you @corneileous for making the process more umm, interesting than it would have been otherwise. ;-)

Hey man, at least you got it for a lot cheaper than what I was gonna let it go for….lol.

But all that aside, how do you like it?

I guess this last week or so I've been busy since we're starting to get some moderate temps! To wit: First, I replaced the puddle lights and turn signals in the mirrors as both puddle lights were burnt out, and the driver side turn signal was dead along with a couple of the LEDs on the passenger side. Then I put my Truxedo Pro X15 tonneau cover on, installed the Stampede US Flag deflector on the hood, swapped in the Alpharex Luxx 5th Gen 2500 series projector headlights, a pair of Sealight 9005 LED bulbs in my fog lights and swapped on 5th Gen Black taillights (got the lights from a wrecking yard out of Oregon for a decent price!). I used the Retroshop adapter to connect to the truck.; the simple harness that doesn't change the Turn Signal lights to amber- just uses the red (which was what I had with the stock LED tails).

I also swapped the flickering LED map light with dedicated LED bulbs and switched the visor vanity mirror lights to LED as well (no pics of either). I put on Truck Hardware Gatorback mud flaps on the rear of the truck (there were already mudflaps on the front when I got the truck). While doing the mudflaps, I discovered my right Icon 2.0 shock body has unscrewed from the top mounting point...so that's caused a bit of struggle to figure out if I can get it corrected or replaced. My issue there is that a previous owner did either a lift kit or leveling kit of some variant, and I don't know the specifics of what was done! But I could need new rear shocks now- and I'd like to replace the front Monroe Reflex shocks while I'm at it. Oh well...

Lastly, I finally installed the DeeZee tailgate damper: I really like their re-designed mounting point for the gate! Oh, and I put some color on my "RAM" letters in the center stack...just because.

ProX15 install was fairly simple, and the wrinkles have smoothed out as it's "settled in".

The inner section and bottom bar of these lamps illuminate as the DRL...looks good, but I didn't have anyone to hold the truck's brakes to show that!

20220330_185021.jpg
The turn signal bar is sequential on this model of the Alpharex lights. And when the DRL dropout is canceled, the DRL does the "activation" function when it returns to DRL...pretty cool.

The 5th gen taillights and my Putco Red Blade in "run" mode. I have noted that despite using the Curt 5-pin T-Harness, the Red Blade is JUST A BIT out of sync with the tail turn signals...luckily I can't see that in action!

The Truck Hardware Gatorback mudflaps. Maybe now I can steel wool the exhaust tips and they'll stay a bit cleaner longer!

The turn signal works again!

Just got the truck out of the shop from the deer incident and installed 6500k Fahren LEDs in the headlights and fogs. Very nice output. Head and shoulders above the stock halogens and even silver stars.

Fahrens are awesome I have them too. They pair nicely with the Fog lights I bought off amazon.

HA! Actually determining the lift so I can order proper front shocks...and possibly all four. Then finding a garage/shop I can use to install the Mopar cab clearance lights kit.
