Does anyone know how to disable the tailgate button on the key fob. I was driving home with a trailer and somehow the button got pushed (it locks and unlocks any time I bend over with the keys in my pocket). When I started to back up I realize the camera was pointing down. When I went back there was a lot of damage from it grinding on the trailer Jack.image.jpgimage.jpg

The very reason I don't carry that freaking monster fob in my pocket. I put it in the console or cupholder, the few times I've forgot it's set off the panic alarm, unlocked doors, etc. Lat thing I want is for it to open the tailgate. I had a small belt pouch I carried my 2017 fob in but this one is way too big! Sorry this happened.

If your Enter & Go FOB has an individual button that only works the tailgate.
You should be able to open the FOB & disable that contact button.

But some tailgates only open electronically, there is no manual release

Another option would be to get a FOB case without the Tailgate button & put the green printed circuit board inside of that case

Ouch!

You can crack open your fobs to disable the button.

If you're willing to pony up the cash you can get new fobs (without the tailgate button) and have them programmed. If you do this be cautious if you don't buy them from the dealership. You have to get new fobs as these are only good for one programming. After that they are useless on anything but that truck as they can only be programmed once.

another thing you could do, is buy a hard case that your FOB fits into.

I wear my jeans loose legged, i had several bags of lawn fertilizer to carry one day, i did good walking across the lawn itself, but then i had 2 steps to go up to get to the shed & my Sister hollered that my truck just started on its own.

I have considered buying a Faraday Pouch
no signal can read the FOB when it is inside
possibly the FOB can't send a signal either
