So this morning, truck started fine then faltered and died just like the first time at 20k when a valve spring broke. Same service electronic throttle code and same behavior. Truck is scheduled in for service tomorrow and I am waiting on a two truck now. Wondering if anyone else has been through this same issue. Likely not since i always get the unique ones with my vehicles. But just in case, if you have, did you ever find out the root cause?

Is it possible you bought That truck that was built Friday late when PPL ready to go home> (sic).

NAH, not heard of this on a newer ride, but these R mass produced. Hope U get yer issue settled quick, assuming you R under warranty. Makes me glad I got an early build before the pandemic (ie., 2018 DT built truck) (w/o E Torque).

ADDED: Hopefully U got the big Warranty bought, not just the standard 3/36 since I see yer ride has 56K, and they connect this failure to your previous failure and cover the MX.

The power train warranty is good for 60k, so you're still covered by the factory warranty since this appears to be an engine related issue.

Outstanding, I personally bought the 8 year 1 day before my 3/36 lapsed, but as U know, that is really only another 5 years, since they go back to the day you took possession. I got the 8/85K (Maxcare) for $1725. Ziegler.

Yes, I do know they retro the date to the delivery day, but that's fine with me. I don't see trading this one since the V-8s are going away.

This happened to me when I bought my '03 Hemi. First year when they brought it back. I figured they were kind of staking their reputation on that engine so even though it was the first year they would get it right.
Right after 100,000 miles valve spring broke. Left me stranded. Towed to nearest dealer on a Sunday and left it. When the service guy diagnosed it as broken valve spring, he tells me they have been having an "issue" with this.
They got it running and I took it right next door to the Chevy dealer and traded it in on a new 2500 Silverado. I was done with the Hemi from there on out.
After the Chevy I switched back to Ram mainly because GM bodies are noisy rattle traps.
Now it is diesel all the way.

Forgot to add:
It was right out of warranty and it cost me $3,000+ out of my pocket.

I am going to stick with this one since I have the warranty for 7 years and no mileage limit. Still no word though. 7 working days now. Took them 3 days just to get it in the bay after I dropped it off.

Got word today that it will be ready by Friday. Ironically, the part I am waiting on is for the Rambox [button actuator], the valve spring is done [it was a different one].
