I was running Diablo's 87 canned tune for years, I recently replaced my PCM and haven't loaded anything back up. 95% of my drive to work is highway speeds and I get 13 with or without MDS kicking in. It's been windy the last few weeks so it's fluctuated lol. My driving style hasn't changed, the only thing that's different is I went from mud tires to KO2's. These last 2 tanks was with manually going to 5th.

While governments aren't the reason for the price per barrel globally they do have an effect on price at the pump. For example Canada in some areas has a fuel tax totalling close to 3 bucks a gallon at the moment. Reasons for it notwithstanding it does effect the cost of fueling up and is directly government related. Sanctions cut supply and are imposed by governments and cutting supply does raise the barrel price. Companies having to invest billions domestically to get projects approved that often do not as they get played as political footballs is not free either and the cost eventually falls on the end consumer. If we start suffering black outs and supply problems increase then things will get fast tracked as public opinion shifts. If everything stays fine and green energy fills the void then expansion will stop as it becomes less needed.

Technically in the USA, we are taxation with representation. So the buck stops with the voter. Just saying....

I agree the Keystone Pipeline puts more Canadians to work, when it is finished, than Americans, and does not make us energy independent.

However, it seems to me pumping oil through a pipeline is a whole lot cheaper to get it to the US, than to use rail (think Buffet) and therefore in the end the cost of gas/diesel to our automobiles would be less expensive by some measure.

I'll keep on using my remote start every single day like I've always been as well.
Anyone else use theirs everyday? What a great option to have.
I auto start mine every day, no matter what the temps are, I'm tired of hearing that stupid broken exhaust manifold bolt leaking when I get in the truck to go to work, once she's warmed up there's hardly any tick to be heard. lol

I hear ya. That's a lot more lazy losers to bribe to stay in power. They need all the money they can raise and then some. Be nice If I could just pop into Venezuela for fuel. It's under 10 cents US a gallon right now for regular.

I'm just glad mine's paid off...
It would suck paying these prices for gas AND making a payment on top of it...

I thought it would be amusing and save a few bucks by trying hypermiling techniques on my Ram, and not bad for a 2009 with the 5/6 speed and 150K+ miles. Pretty much all highway commuting driving behind semis at about 60-65mph, long coasts to stop signs that I soft roll, turning off ignition at stop lights, etc. lol!

You need to account for driving speeds. if it's constantly kicking in and out of mds there's really no point. Im averaging about 19.2 to 19.5mpg, about 100 miles a day on the highway with mds and without. But I'm usually always v8 even with mds active.

I also run it 99% with MDS off and use 93 octane Mobil Fuel, I don't like the fact that 4 cyl aren't running and the valves aren't active, I think it might be a heat issue for the manifolds when MDS is active.
My 05 had the same manifold issue multiple times. It did not have MDS so I dont think its the MDS.
