chinese products like tires have to meet a minimum global safety requirement.i'd be more concerned with the crappy design than where it's made.

Would you buy a Chinese parachute?

When I think of Kenda, I think: Cheap. (Then Sgt Joe lol)

I choose to not support nations that hate us when possible.
Kenda has made some of the top motorcycle tires for a very very long time. Taiwan is not china, ffs. Yeesh.

Trust me, I’d prefer to buy everything made in the USA, where I live, but the powers that be sold our soul a long time ago and it ****** me off.
Yeep ....

I used to work for Progressive Wheels from 1995-1998 and we made wheels for MHT, KMC, America Racing, Niche, Enkei, TSW, Speedline and a whole lot of other wheels and it was so cheap to make the wheels, our wholesale price for those wheels was nothing compared to what they sold them for ..

A Chinese and Japanese company came and checked us out, we had the foundry, chrome, paint and powder coat departments all in that plant and they bought the owner out after he found out they were stealing from him by the truck loads .. that was the same company that makes Pirelli tires and yes it was a Chinese company lol ...

Anyways, it's so cheap to make wheels is my point but American companies want to charge so much to make these wheels, tires and a whole other stuff we love to buy ..

China might have a bad reputation but honestly it's not because they have poor quality products, big name brands have been around for a long time now and they are Chinese, nothing wrong with a Chinese product, but what is wrong is of course supporting a country like China...

I will stop now before I get my post removed for politics lol ..

Kenda has been making tires for a long time. Solid product IMO. They started making auto tires around the turn of the century. Actually partnered with Cooper for a few years to market those tires. Also built a plant in China that they share with Cooper. I think Cooper started making all their truck tires in China last year and their east regional HQ is in Shanghai.

As mentioned above I might look at their R/T line. Kind of a hybrid between the A/T and M/T. More aggressive than the A/T but better on the road than the M/T.
Your are wrong! Cooper is made in the USA! I just bought 4 last week.

How did we get from tires to anything. I am pretty sure the companies that build the most reputable and highest rated tires are not chinese tires. In fact considering that china out produces all other countries combined, but has none of the highest rated brands , except maybe of couple of their budget tires, should say something.

I am not going to bash china, there has been some okay stuff out of there, but its getting much worse, When you dont have any competition, you don't need to even meet bare minimum quality anymore. I have an american made refrigerator, its about 80 years old and still going strong, I am not selling it , because the new stuff all made in china and asia, needs to be replaced ever 4-7years. Unfortunately, we dont have any american made appliances anymore.
Not true I have a whole house of American made appliances - Whirlpool. Dishwasher, washer, dryer, referigerator, freezer, oven. All in the 2-3 year old range!!!

I have ran a set of BFG Mud Terrains for 77,000 miles before needing replaced. Albeit they were on a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker.
Presently on the Dodge are Kenda Klever R/T’s. After 15-20k miles they’re really not showing much wear at all. Hopefully they continue to surprise me.

Kenda makes motorcycle tires also.

Junk
Interesting. I’ve ran several of their tires on Dual sports, dirt and street bikes and really liked them all with little complaints. Lot of guys I know run them with really no complaints either.

Yeah, the last set of Coopers I bought were the LAST set of Coopers.
(Discoverer ATs not SSTs)
2 out of 3 roads in my area are gravel and they went through those Coopers like a fat kid through a bowl of Skittles... only lasted 24k and that was on a 1/2 ton.
After a year and 12k on a PW the Kenda RTs are barely worn at all...
And quieter than the Duratracs they replaced too, though with my glass pack that's not saying much.
We took it north for a snowmobiling trip in Feb. 6 hrs on the highway and no drone at all.
We were able to visit have a conversation at normal decibels with no problem...

Thanks for all the replies. Another question here. I just got a leveling kit for my truck from Nick@GotExhaust and am wondering how big of a tire I can put on before it will rub. I’ll be using my stock rims.
I have a set of 35x12.50s on my 14 2500 with no rub but i have 20s with a 0 offset (probably wouldnt be able to go any bigger without some rubbing) so take that for what it is. And for reference i have toyo open countries and i have been happy with them, but like yourself i want something a little more aggressive when these wear out. I have had the Mickey Thompson ATZ p3 tires on my chevy half ton and they lasted a good while and performed nicely snow mud whatever i threw at it. Good luck.

Wife had them on her 2015 Scout. Worst wet weather tire I’ve seen on a bike. Indian dropped the Kenda and went with Pirreli’s. I personally like Michelins on my motorcycles when available.
