I am trying to add a new set of running boards on a 2017 Ram 1500 Tradesman Crew. The brackets attach to the body bolts - appear to Hex Flange with the large washer. Those washers are not removable and are too big to fit the inside the bracket. I am trying to find a part # in hopes that Mopar has something without the washers. I believe these are M10 or M12, but I'm not having much luck identifying the part # though online part catalogs. Anyone know the part #s for the front and rear bolts? TIA

What about grinding the washers smaller.

Yes, I can do it. Looking for path of least resistance. :)
It is a hex flange bolt. Mopar 6508326AA.
Just have to find a local source.

Update. I did grind the retention threads off the bolts and was able to remove the flange washers, allowing then to fit under the brackets. I though the grinding would take hours. Did all 4 in about 10-12 min.

Next time you don't need to hack structural fasteners just look up the size on a Mopar parts supplier and copy the size for example
(hex head m12x1.75x45 )
Using a search you would be able to see options as for other general Mopar or jeep chrysler vehicles ( -flange) for example Jeep bumper retainers
took longer to write this post than to look up an optional part
(even a mild one)

Appreciate the time to reply. That bolt has 116 threads - an oddity and the only part was the original Mopar part.
Part No.: 6508326AA
SCREW-HEX FLANGE HEAD
M12x1.75x116.50

Glad you found the correct size for replacement it’s not 116 thread count it’s mm and it’s just advice you don’t want to heat cut or alter structural fasteners
It might have been better just to cut sides off the washer than to completely remove it.
