Better Canada that a freaking strip mall which is the lovely view from my dining room table. Canada is a beautiful place from what I’ve seen.
Lake Superior Circle Tour we mostly saw bogs and rocks. For hundreds of miles. I can see them whenever I want (which is never) in northern MN & WI.

I went into Ontario Canada a couple of times, then one year i decided to see what was up North a bit.
Not knowing the area, i drove up a road called Yonge Street , i followed it up a place called Richmond Hill, where i met with some online friends.
In the morning i left Richmond Hill & drove to highway right close to an amusement park, called something like General or Admiral something.
Then i went further north, up the highway to a town called Sundridge, or something like that & then i went up to North Bay & then cut across to Sudbury. Then i took some highway back down to Toronto.
The Beef & pork tastes so good up in that area, they must not use all that growth hormones, etc. in Canada
I enjoyed everything but the Black Flies, but with enough Jello Shooters & Steak, i did not mind so much :)

The Rams bluetooth did not do anything to boost my cell phone, i had to find pay phones to call everyone

As a youngster in Connecticut, living on the dairy farm
Each day we got up before daylight & milked the cows, then we had breakfast. Then some of us went back to the barn carrying garbage, it was tossed on the manure pile or in the manure spreader, then we shoveled out the manure in the barn & in the milk parlor someone had to wash the milking equipment, while someone else was using a tractor to pull the manure spreader out to the fields.
Flies were kept to a minimum that way.
We had to drive about 10 to 15 miles to go to the dump, we hardly had anything that went to the dump

Composting the house hold organic trash is damn smart now a days. And I'm not talking going GREEN. More the fact if you can do it, start gardening and grow your own vegetables. Anyone that owns a little property can do small garden; I prefer raised bed gardening. You will save money on on the grocery bill and usually have vegetables to spare. Not a farmer guy? It wasn't too appealing to me at first but it "grows" on you and you get a lot of satisfaction from it. We keep a 5 gal bucket with a lid on it in the kitchen. Coffee grounds, egg shells, apple core, banana peels, anything moldy that has been in the fridge too long, dump it in. I wouldn't recommend meats because they really stink when they decompose and attract dogs and other critters. But about anything else, throw it in the bin to add to the compost pile.

I have 5 acres of which I would like to plant some of in a garden but the price of our water is so high I would be losing money over store bought.

Agreed. In "normal" times, food that you can grow in gardens can cheaper to buy from a store. And my main motivation for having a garden in the past was because fresh veggies taste better. But I think the good doctor might be hinting at a possible food shortage in the coming months. Or at the least, even higher food prices. Which might make growing your own more economically feasible.

Yeah, you got to have rain for best results. I know in the western states there is a terrible drought going on. Here in Tennessee things are going better.
We gather rain water from the roof. It is amazing how much better plants thrive from rain water.
Easy enough. 55 gallon plastic barrel, fix the downspout from the gutters to fill the barrel. Get a submersible pump to send the water to the garden. ;)

It’s 88° here right now and it sucks. In a few days spring here will be gone and it will be summer again. I wish spring and fall lasted longer but to get that you have to deal with snow and no thanks to that!

I live in the Center, in the middle of God's Country. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are many hours away from me. Unfortunately the populous areas are where the issues are...the rest of the state is not represented by those two spots.

The rest if the state is RED.

That's the way pretty much all BLUE states are. In my state (WA) it's pretty much one county which dictates things for the rest of the state.

It's clear we aren't getting spring this year. 39 degrees, wind still blasting. I toughed it out and split some firewood today. I'm running out of time before 90 degrees show up instantaneously. Not splitting in that with mosquitoes biting .

Farmers & ranchers that live in drought areas have to pay for water by the acre foot .
An acre foot of water is 326,000 gallons of river water
It should not be drank until it is run through a reverse osmosis water purification system

In parts of California, it costs $70 per acre-foot for water to irrigate crops
In Arizona it cost $21.08 per acre on average

Both states
draw the water from the Colorado River

BY the way, Mexico is fighting both Arizona & California for water that is rightfully theirs by some Treaty or another
Only a little more than a trickle water makes it into Mexico

Deserts weren't meant to support 30 million humans.
