Thinkin about doing this conversion in my truck, I could've sworn i stumbled across a thread somewhere that had a definitive list of what parts were needed, and how many, and what custom wiring was needed, however i cannot remember where it was and i can't seem to find it again. Can somebody possibly point me in the right direction?

So I pieced together I need the following parts, i'm just unsure what else i need, and I know one of those antennas is for in the door, which i would require 2 of them, and one of them goes by the back bumper. Can somebody tell me which number i need 2 of? Also what other part numbers i might need? Thanks.

There isn’t a writeup specifically for the 2019+ HD Rams, that I know of. There is one for the 4th gens over in the 4th gen DIY, and there is one for the DTs over on 5thgenrams, but the 2019+ HD is the easiest of them all to add proximity handles.
Your handle part numbers are correct. The only antenna you need is the one that mounts behind the rear bumper license plate, which is part number 56046957AA. The connector for it is already there plugged into a dummy. You already have the antennas in the doors because they are needed as part of the push button start system. The only other thing you need is the front door add-on harnesses for the handles. I have a few extra sets laying around if you need them.

Mopar makes a jumper wire part# 68402181AB for the handles, I don't know what they look like though.

The jumper harness plugs into a connector on the door harness, which isn’t present on non-proximity handle truck door harnesses. So, to do it 100% factory, you need the entire front door harnesses AND the jumper harnesses.

Look, I have 2020 3500 Chassis crew cab. Push start, keyless entry, remote start but with no proximity handles. So as I understood I don’t need antenna for rear bumper/license plate because I don’t have it[emoji2371][emoji23], but I still need wiring harness for handle, where I can find those wires and how to connect instruction or any help. Thank you!

You need the actual antenna for behind the license plate, but no extra wiring for it because it’s already there, ready to plug into the antenna. I’ll send you a PM

Sorry to jumpstart an older thread. I didn't even realize this was an option. Sounds like its a must have. haha. I'll still do some digging when I have a chance, but once all the parts are collected, is this something relatively easy to accomplish on a 2019 1500? I'm not sure what specific details about my truck I need to know before attempting to look into this.

What's the total cost of this? I'm about to order a new 2022 and I'm trying to decide between a Big Horn and a Laramie. The price difference is $4770, and the only things i really care about are proximity entry and LED headlights, which i can do without.

This may be a long shot, but are you able to help with the jumper harnesses?
Looking into retrofitting this in the near future.

To add to the thread, I have a 2022 3500 HD and I have installed the hardware to do this upgrade. Unfortunately, I was not able to program with AlfaOBD as I don't have a security bypass module. If there is another way to program without a bypass and not going to the dealer, please let me know. If not, I will be looking for a bypass module so I can finish this upgrade.

Just to stop some confusion, the "jumper harness" is not a jumper it's an extension harness that goes around the window to the door handle.

Anyone have a parts list to add prox handles and other work needed to add prox entry to a 2022 2500 Tradrsman? I picked mine up 2 weeks ago and was also really surprised to get pushbutton start but have to pull the fob out to unlock the doors.

You need the handles and the rear antenna, and a pair of custom door harnesses. The front proximity handles only come in full body color, or body color with chrome, so if your tradesman has the black plastic textured handles, you would want to swap the rear handles too so they match the new front proximity handles.

Jimmy07, I’m going to attempt to PM to hopefully order the jumper harness. Thanks again for all this helpful info!
