2019 over-all gas mileage 5.7 hemi --don't expect over 12.5---13 mpg. Poor radio in my 2019 laramie but the last ram I had with a good radio was a 2012. ( I've had a 2013 and a 2017 too) Tilting steering wheel is a joke--older rams was much better and easier and why they changed it I'll never know.

Traded in 2019 Rebel on a 2022 2500 Tradesman crew/hemi order out.Cons for me, knob shifter is hard to rock the truck when bouncing around off road getting out of a getting stuck situation.Just give me a Lever, Better yet one with a clutch! That knob is just hard to like.Brakes feel kinda like glazed, but dealer says that's how they are.Steering feels a bit wandering, when holding a straight line, got better with dumping those Transgender Firestones for Stt Pros, mds kinda annoying along with horn honking if you hop out and close the door with truck running, have to leave door open(then the dog jumps out and the cat jumps in)liked cruise buttons when they were on the left side better.

I normally don't drive all that much but when I DO drive, I want the option to transport multiple people comfortably. I live in a cold rural area so I wanted 4x4. I also like DIY projects so I wanted the longbed. The crew cab 4x4 longbed serves me well.

That said, in order to get certain options I wanted on my '21 3500, I had to get a bunch of other stuff I didn't want:

cell phone hookup crap - don't need it
media screen/backup camera - don't need it
sensors that tell me I'm getting too close to something - don't need 'em
DEF system - haven't had trouble yet but seems like a ticking timebomb

Some of the modern bells and whistles can be nice but those are just more things that can go wrong.
Why did you buy a new one then?

I've had my Ram for about a year and two minor things bug me way more than they should. 1) You can't roll down the windows from the outside using the fob. It is a convenience I had gotten use to on hot days to air it out a little before getting in. 2) The console dimmer switch has very little control. It is either full on bright or almost too dim to see. Not a horrible problem but if they are going to have a dimmer knob then why did they allow so little flexibility in its use?

Having owned a 1500 4x4 Laramie Quad Cab with the 6.2 bed, I find I like the bed length far better that the 5.5 cubby hole of a bed but, I also lose some rear seat room due to that. I wanted power fold mirrors that did not become available until the second year of the 5th Gen (2019). The aftermarket ones for nearly 2100 bucks just sux so bad, I refuse to pay that for folding mirrors. I got all the bells and whistles with leather and have liked the truck a lot. At nearly 60K I am starting to wonder about the lifter/cam issue as I did idle the truck early on a lot until I found out about it. So far so good.

I have a '19 2500 with the 6.4. We are camper people. And I love the truck. Handles my 6500lb trailer with ease. My only gripe about the whole thing is the steering column. I wish it was telescopic. It seems too far away from me. At 5'10" thats my only complaint. Great truck. Plenty of power. You will like your Ram.

Seats are uncomfortable if you are a big Norsk. Fixable for 150.00 at an upholstery shop. The bolsters are too hard. Other than that Loooove it.

Have a 20 Ram Laramie with most of the options. First off I will say that I really like the truck, my complaints are mostly minor.

The Hemi while fine is lagging and has for years. I’ve had a GM 6.2 and a couple Ecoboost, both superior.

I pretty much hate the e torque, offers nothing and is often confused. And at times dangerous, but not frequently, but it only takes once. 18 Ram with a similar configuration(no e torque) got the same or slightly better mileage.

The auto bright functionlaity is terrible. Generally turn it off, so not a big deal. 18 was better, but not as good as Ford or GM.

About to take delivery of a new 150 with the Powerboost. And the primary reason is the lack of development with the power train. Would have been happy in another Ram, but lazy R&D was my reason.

my experience with Ram Cares was not good at all. They just don't seem to really care at all.

as far as the vehicle goes mine has a few manufacturing defects one of which was serious enough for a vehicle replacement

That's a matter of opinion. With the possible exception of the sunroof I never use, I think everything on my truck belongs on a truck. Maybe you meant to say that these things don't belong on your truck?
Not on my truck or any truck that I would want. If I wanted a Cadillac I would have bought a Cadillac.

Do I detect a hint of judgement there? :p
Thankfully you were able to chose what to buy, and didn't have to rely on someone else deciding what should or shouldn't be on your truck. Some of us want to have "Cadillac like features" in their truck. Some of us don't. The beauty is that we have the choice.

What would you tell a guy who is considering a RAM for his next and first full size truck, that is negative about RAM? I pretty much know all the Pros...which is why i've put RAM at the top of my list....my second choice is a Toyota Tundra (I'm in a 2nd Gen Tacoma now). I'd really like to know what kind of problems to expect that is pretty typical with Ram trucks. I really love the looks of the Rebel, but i dig the the Laramie with the Night package....those would be my 2 choices. I'm open to hear about engine choices....I am primarily a city driver, this would be my daily driver.but intend to do some road trips with the family. I do not tow anything...not a boat guy....or a camper guy...I go old school...lol
I have a 2020 Ram 2500, the only thing that is negative I have found is that the DC port for the Radar detector is on the passenger side of the vehicle making it inconvenient to silence the radar connector, Depending the size of the driver it could be impossible to reach the silence button.

Not a complaint but I only use my truck about 4 months each year. Towing the TT throughout the country. Seems it has so much stuff on it that I have to re-learn how to operate it again at the beginning of each trip. :)

I really dislike the crappy tires they come with. Had one separate yesterday. Damn things only had 43800 miles on them too. ;)
Otherwise, no complaints yet

I've had a '22 1500 Laramie with 5.7 hemi etorque for a week and the one thing that really annoys me is there is no setting to disable the 3 loud honks if the key fob exits the vehicle with it still running. I don't need my truck to honk at me when I step out to grab my mail from the box or shut my gate.

As far as the etorque.... it's annoying at stop signs or in traffic when you're not coming to a complete stop for an extended time. The video I watched about it made it seems like the on and off was flawless but there is a very noticable lurch. You can easily turn it off with a button but the setting resets when you turn off the vehicle.

The last thing I've had an issue with is my android auto frequently disconnecting but I believe I found a solution today after noticing it happening in the same parts of a city I drive through. My android phone had Bluetooth scanning on (a setting in Settings -> Location ) and disabling it seems to have fixed it. Obviously not a ram issue....I believe my phone was trying to handshake a pair to random Bluetooth signals.

There are a lot of things I love about the truck so far, but these are my 'gripes.'
Issue number one is prominent across all of the CDJR, and surely after this year they will fix it. So many people hate it especially those that do off roading or camping in groups. This feature seems to be nothing but a nuisance. Im sure there are a few out there that really appreciate it but those few are far between the ones that don't haha.

Agreed on that second issue, why is it that you have to turn it off multiple times? If we don't want it happening once, we don't want it the next time lol.

Thanks for posting your resolution. This has been something that has irked me because I havent had a answer for my customers but the issue has been surrounding android phones mostly. I will offer the above as a remedy now. Thanks for posting.

That’s where I like how Toyota does it. You get a repetitive beep and not a horn honk which is a good reminder as there are a lot of idiot hybrid drivers walking out of their car and leaving them on. It’s happened to me even with that beep when using a valet.

Last, if my truck shows up and it honks at me when I get out of the car with the key in it I suppose I won’t get out of the car with the key in it if I can’t help it. But leaving the wife in the car doing more shopping etc. etc. just leave the key in the car. My Ford made that awful beeping noise with the horn and we just got used to how to game it.
My 2022 Hybrid SUV beeps when backing up. Apparently this is a regulation, so it can't be turned off and it wouldn't be so bad but for the fact that the beep measures 82 decibels. That's right, 82 and still within regs, apparently. My poor neighbors, all retired, one gives me the stink eye now. People turn and look when I back up...beep, beep, beep. Luckily, my wife was driving it one day and the dash reported an error and that error was cross traffic alert was not functioning. Happy days now and I turn down the dealer whenever they offer to fix it. No thanks.

Or power passenger seat? $55K and the passenger seat is manual...WTH?
Yes, I agree with this and which is one thing which makes it difficult to make a purchase decision. I try to keep the value proposition along the lines of what the vehicle can do and build quality, but things like this make me grimace because this would be my last vehicle and while not having power passenger seating seems trivial, if it's your last vehicle, suddenly it becomes an issue which is only remedied by upgrading to the package which provides it.
