Hey,
I’m aware of the jump seat to centre console conversion threads which are very useful. However, there are just a few questions I have regarding the “little things”.
The conversion will happen on a 2019 RAM 1500 Classic Express with Dual Climate Zone Control. Meaning the jump seat does indeed have air vents flowing through to the rear of the cab.
The full length centre console has a 12V cigarette lighter outlet within the storage bin next to the phone holders (See image for reference). It also has a 12V cigarette lighter outlet on the backplate for the rear seats. (See image for reference)
I have two 12V cigarette lighter outlets under my radio right now. I’m pretty confident the wiring should reach the bin’s cigarette lighter outlet. However, I’m not too sure on the backplate reachability. Does anyone know if it can reach or do I have to solder/tap into it with an extension?
Also, I’m adding the 3 prong power inverter outlet plug which fits to the bottom right corner of the radio bezel. I’m not too knowledgeable with electric currents, but could I just tap into the 12V cigarette lighter wire to feed power to the 3 prong power inverter outlet? Would it affect anything critically?
I appreciate the time to whoever reads this post.
