I also loose presets every day or so. The truck is a brand new 2022 1500 bighorn. Less than 200 miles on it and the preset problem is already manifesting itself. Also it connects and disconnects from the phone continuously. I don't think it's a problem with the phone. I've been writing and testing software for 40 years. I know bad software when I see it and this is bad software. Poorly developed. Poorly tested.

Hey y’all. So I’ve got a new 2022 night edition 1500 bighorn. I keep having issues with the uconnect/xm and dealer can’t figure out nor can mopar apparently. Just seeing if anyone else has ran into this. So number 1, I have it set to honk on 2nd press of lock button. It will work a few days then randomly stop a few, then start working again. Yesterday I got in it and all my radio presets were gone as well as I only had 9 xm channles. (Truck is 2 weeks old) now today the channels are back but had to reset presets. Horn still doesn’t sound on lock (yes it is checked in the settings) hope someone can shed some light. Thanks
I have the same vehicle, picked it up in December. I've found numerous times where the presets get wiped out. I have no idea why. trying to figure if remote starting may be part of the issue. To date, I've not been able to find a pattern.

I have the same vehicle and same issue. Also a long time developer and couldn't agree with you more!

I have a mix of these problems. As a long time software developer and OS tester, I applaud what Dodge set out to accomplish with uConnect. I hope they continue to tackle their bug list.

initially I just came to this forum to figure out why my HK sound system doesn‘t sound very loud.

Has anyone started a thread or started to collect software version info?

Thought I would at least get on this thread should a fix pop up at some point. I am having the same problem with pre-set memory but a couple of other items as well. 1) The Sat radio will often revert to Channel 1 when I start up, like its the first time the sat-radio was being turned on. It's set up and on my account and I can listen to all stations, but often it just will not stay on the station after turning off. 2) When I take a phone call using CarPlay, at the end of the call the system will not go back to the source I was on, like Sat-Radio, or music from a USB??? Any suggestions or fixes will be appreciated...obviously RAM has a software problem here.....

After reading ALOT of the threads on here, I'm seriously starting to regret ordering a 2022 power wagon now.

I had the same issues with the XM locking up. There was a software update that solved that particular issue. I'm still losing presets, however.

My issue with a 2022 Rebel GT is that the 12” is really unstable. I have my own home page set up but it will never start up on the home page, it is always Apps. Then I will lose volume control on both the dash and the steering wheel and it will revert to performance pages and freeze with no top and bottom portion of the screen visible or usable, and the freeze on that screen stays until it has been shut off for many hours.
If I use the phone function for example, then shut it off, on start up it will show that the screen function is on phone on the bottom icon, and not the home page, but the performance access page is on the screen.

The dealer has checked it out once and declared that there is no update. They will take it back in on Monday and go online with RAM tech and have them look at remotely. If not I guess it will be a radio change out - which is, according to one of the salesmen, the most common warranty component change out since the intro of the UConnect 5.

I hope that those of you that understand software, know that back before 2009, Dodge Rams radios software was Linux based, it remained that way until around 2018, it may have been sooner.

The only Ram owners that had major issues with the radios, was Apple users.
Chrysler put out a Paper that more or less read that Apple software out paced the Linux software & unless Apple products owners could convince Apple to write a backwards compatible PATCH, that those owners would continue to have issues.
Apple did write a Patch or 2 and everyone was a lot happier.

Well now the Ram radios are Android based, the same thing seems to be happening,
Apple comes out with new software & phones about 3 times a year & no one can keep up & the auto manufacturers catch the flack.

The dealership advised that a new patch came out to resolve the issue. They have installed the patch on my 2022 Laramie. Dealership had no loaners so I have to eat $120 for a rental. According to Service Manager, patch came out 4/22/2022. I am not hopeful because the service manager was not reassuring. Truck has 4k miles. So far, backup camera and radio have been replaced. Backup camera still isn't right. I used to get a blue screen in reverse, now the picture is just choppy. First time buying a Ram. Thinking it was a huge $60K mistake.

I would agree with this IF every other brand was having an issue, I recently went back to Ram from getting out of a Toyota Tundra, I had no connectivity issues w the last truck, my wife has a Subaru Outback that runs Starlink and has no issues. I now have a 2021 Rebel with the 8.4 screen, I am constantly getting the "Device not supported" message on screen, it pops up literally every 3 seconds. I not only disconnected the phone from the radio, I deleted UConnect from my phone along with Apple car play, the radio will not do a soft restart so i took it to the dealer...........

Yesterday I got a call from the dealer and they told me that they CAN NOT work on the truck or change the head unit because "Corporate" is working on a fix? The service department gave me a copy of the memo from corporate that was released in March of 2022 and the case number of S2208000068 (this is for everyone that is getting this same message), we are to call STAR center 1-800-334-9200 and deal with the issue ourselves. Sooooooooo I called and basically they don't know what is wrong, don't know how to fix it and have no timeline on when it will get fixed. This is the part that really ****** me off, I have a 60K truck with 14k miles that I really can't stand to be in now, you can't use the nav because of the pop up every 3 seconds, I guess I can use the nav on my phone but should I have to? I will give it a month and I will just get rid of the truck, it bothers me that bad.

If you are having these issues I honestly feel bad for you

I watched a video yesterday, it was on the 12" radio screen
It was made by Ram reviewer
He did not own a Ram & from his report, he would not own a Ram because of the 12" radio.

But he gets off on the exhaust noise & acceleration

One of the big things was that the only way to turn on the heated seats & steering was by using the touch screen, he could not use the VR button & turn it on vocally & there are no actual buttons to turn it on.
Another thing that he did not like was that in one of the settings, there is some kind of visual bar in front of some buttons that are used to change another radio setting,
So you have to back out one function to go back to another function & it is because of the bar on the screen

found that video again
