Order Delivery Time

I ordered a 1500 limited 8 days ago, dealer said 8-12 weeks to delivery. Not even a confirmation email yet from dealer or FCa. Blowing smoke or has the pace picked up? I’m only ~4 hrs drive from Detroit where 1500 are said to be built. Hoping delivery logistics are fast to here vs the 5-6 weeks from Mexico. Luckily my ****** is still going strong.

Have you had any updates? I ordered same truck on March 26th and haven’t had any updates or confirmation. Dealer doesn’t know either. I’m in Mid Michigan too, was told we get priority since they are built in Sterling Heights

I ordered a 2500 from Granger on 3/30. FWIW, I got my VON the next day, and I got my VIN yesterday.

I don't expect to hear anything more for at least 2 months.

Ordered a 1500 limited may 2021, just took delivery three weeks ago. It is what it is. I like Ram, at the moment, and am very impressed with this one. Order it and forget it, things take time especially in todays world.

Im in the same boat i ordered my truck 12 31 21 and it has been built but they said it is stuck in shipping and was pushed to the back because when it showed up at the rail yard they didnt have a car to put it on and the dealership hasnt done anything. I was suppose to recieve the truck march 18th and still havent received and no updates yet. Is there anything i can do? I even told the dealership ill go get it myself. Then I told him I want the delievery charge taken off since I havent recieved the truck on a timely matter he basically laughed at me. But if I cancel the truck ill pay 8 grand more for a new truck and not want exactly what I wanted

Dealer indicated today it is to be shipped 4/29/2022. I hope they are right… I’ll be watching that build sheet site closely next week!

Ordered a 3500, the second week in March. What build site can I go to for the status. My paperwork from the dealer said D1 with an estimated ship date of 5/18

D1 means that all of your parts are in inventory & they have scheduled a time & date for Gateway
( that is when they lay the frame on the assembly line track )
start checking this site every couple of days
use Capital Letters

Uugh! What trim level did you order? I ordered a Laramie 3500 1/31/22 & am still in D status!

In 2016 I got my 2500 in just under 7 weeks. From time of order to when it was on their lot. But as you said, normal time these are not. Over the weekend my dealer text me to say I finally went into D1 with a ship date of 6/14. Did you say you work at FCA & have a way to track these after they have been put in D1? I figure now best case scenario will be mid July before I see my 3500.

I do Not have anything to do with Chrysler products
For a few years. there was a guy that went by the sign in name of SPP, on another Ram forum
He worked at Auburn Hills Michigan, Which was at that time, Chrysler Headquarters.

I believe that he may have been in the IT department.
Around 2016/17 He told another Ram forum that there was 3 ways to track a vehicle

Apparently some one at Headquarters recently opened a personnel email or something on a Headquarters computer.

Any way some one that should not have access, recently got into the headquarters computer system & now all the tracking systems are not working.

Right now Ramcares can't track anything either

Yeah I think that is the guy that used to have the ability to track the progress of your vehicle. That was a GREAT service that he provided, but I bet it just got to be too much.

From what I'm seeing on these threads is that the 1500's are being built/delivered much sooner than the 2500's.

Agree with above on the 1500's - my 1500 Laramie took only one month from ordering to delivery to my dealer. Ordered 2/11/22 and I picked it up on 3/11/22.

Order/deposit date 2/4/2022. Dealer called me this morning 5/11, it’s in the car hauler headed for the dealer and should arrive today, worst case tomorrow. Was told 8-12 weeks on ordering. Looks like they’re just slightly over that, pretty happy overall. Dealer was communicative the entire time.

1500 Limited 4x4 long bed crew cab, 5.7 no eTorque. No options except off road group, block heater, trailer brake controller.

Wow! that was quick! I have never ordered a vehicle & got it that quick.
