Hello Everyone, I was just reading an article where the new Jeep 2022 with 8.4" back-up camera on the Uconnect screen can be turned on while driving forward. Is this option available on the Ram Classic as well?

Warlocks are all 4th Gens right?I have a 2019 Warlock and all I need to do to get the rearview camera to work while going forward is tap the backup camera icon on the radio. I haven't tested to see how long it will stay on, but I've used it for at least several minutes at a time on numerous occasions . It's worked that way since I bought the truck (new) and I never did any sort of modification with AlfaOBD or anything else. The camea has always stayed on until I shut it off with the little X in the upper right corner, or turn the engine off with the key. And it doesn't make any difference what speed I am going.
Under the vehicle tab there should be a button as well as on the app tab under all apps. It will stay on for about 15-20 seconds and then turn off
Interesting...do you have AlfaOBD? It would be interesting to see if your settings have additional entries. It might also shed some light on it not being in the BCM settings?Yep, 4th Gen.
Interesting, I have never seen one do that. I show this feature on every test drive. For some reason, I can only get mine to display the cargo Cam, I get a blue screen on reverse camera over a certain speed.
The ability to drive with the reverse cam on started with the '16 model year, prior years the camera turns off above 10 mph.For some reason, I can only get mine to display the cargo Cam, I get a blue screen on reverse camera over a certain speed.
Yeah, I have AlfaOBD, but I never did anything with it concerning the camera or the radio.Interesting...do you have AlfaOBD? It would be interesting to see if your settings have additional entries. It might also shed some light on it not being in the BCM settings?
Did you back up your settings to Google drive? I'd be interested in checking your file if so.Yeah, I have AlfaOBD, but I never did anything with it concerning the camera or the radio.
In my 2016 Ram bighorn crewcab, you can use while driving forward for about 10 secs, then reverts back to controls. There is a rear camera button on the screen.Hello Everyone, I was just reading an article where the new Jeep 2022 with 8.4" back-up camera on the Uconnect screen can be turned on while driving forward. Sorry, I could get AlfaOBD to work, but I could never get Google drive to work. I just made a list of the settings that I changed with Alfa. There were't many - just activated the alarm system and activated turn signals and puddle lights on new mirrors.Did you back up your settings to Google drive?
