Hey ok so anyone else out there with a 2022 figure out how to disable the horn chirp on remote start? I found older video's with uconnect4 with it in the settings pane, and I found a video with a guy who had the little 8.4 screen and he used the door lock/panic buttons on the remote to disable, I tried that, didn't work, so every time I remote start it honks and at 5am in an apartment complex, it's not going over so well, any suggestions?

I found it in the menus on mine. And for the same quiet reasons, but honestly the exhaust is louder than the chirp when it starts :)

Nice, I cant speak for the previous versions of uconnect, but I can say the uconnect5 system in my truck is nice, it feels like operating a brand new tablet, no delay, no lag, no hesitation. Just tap and go.

I'd quote here if I could but I need to get rid of the double horn blast on my
Remote Start. And I know this is an old thread.

Horn Honk is the least your problems. Cold starting a vehicle and letting it run for 15 minutes is REALLY hard on them. Way better off to start it, and drive it GENTLY in gear till it warms out. Easier on fuel, much easier on the vehicle, and gently warms transmission, transfer case, diffs etc while you are at it. I have remote start on three vehicles, never use it.

I hear you. I've used mine 2 times in a year and a half other than to try it out a couple of times.
Same with our Odyssey, rarely if ever used.

More than one way to skin a cat comes to mind, always wonder who is more wrong and who is more right, you really never know. Personally I remote start the truck while I'm locking the door/walking to it, usually by the it has come off the high idle then yeah I drive gently until its at operating temp. I don't know that I would say "cold starting and letting idle, would be REALLY hard on them" I mean we aren't talking carburetors with stuck choke things these days, afr is kept balanced, really all you are doing at some point is wasting fuel and unnecessary wear is marginal. And on the other hand I have seen way to many people turn key and put in drive, that just hurts to see, usually those cars are the ones that look like they have driven to hell and back and are only running on 3 of the 6 cylinders... like I said to each their own.
