Hello everyone,
Just joined and hope someone can point me in the right direction. I inherited my dad's 1987 W 150, it only has 51,000 miles on it but because it was only used around the yard for years some nice chewed the wires under the hood, my question is is there somewhere I can get a wiring harness or should I look for a parts truck.

I'm going to write this so I can see what other say.
Now I picked up a 1987 Ram Charger I gave $300.00. I got 2 good doors & I've already used the Auto trans . & Front bumper. Bucket seats . Radio & Dash cluster were no good. & I've used some of the AC dash parts . Mirrors... & I HAVE THE MOTOR setting aside in storage & SO I'll get to use my wiring harness. SO I believe that was a great 300.00 spent.

Harnesses can be fixed with solder and heatshrink faster than you can find the right harness nowadays.

I couldn't find one for an 88 d150.
There are companies that will custom make (recreate) your harness, but they are very pricey. A decent parts truck might be your best bet.

Churi Quinn.
My Grand Fathers nam was Lee Quinn Pittman.
Do you know if you can just buy one section of their wiring harness.
I'd like to have just the motor section for another project of mine.
This one is a 1980 Ford Bronco 6 cyl. 300cid. 4speed trans . & I have a 1995 EFI 300 CID MOTOR & I HAVE THE STD TRANS Computer & wiring harness for the 95 ... BUT I EITHER WANT the instructions on how to rewire the 95 wiring harness to connect to my 1980 Bronco wiring . OR a new harness to plug into my 95 computer & then hook to my 80 Bronco org harness.
............So I've been told it one of the easiest ones to complete .
So I believe just instructions ... & I could cut / splice/ & soldier. & have it running .

PaPitt- Quinn is from my Northern Irish ancestors.
Unfortunately, I don't know. American Autowire and Wiringo.com make custom harnesses, and LMC truck makes a universal harness, but I have never used any of them. I went the parts truck route. The good news is, you should have more aftermarket options with a bronco.

I really think my best shot is to Just have one of the Better Techs in our town . Do it for me .
Just spend say $500.00. & Find something else to grip about.
