Seeing as you want better visibility in rain, go with amber fogs in the ss6.

The ss3 would also need fog lens to use around other cars. Amber or white but amber is better in bad weather.

Sport, pro or max depends on how much you wanna spend. I used the white fog lens sports as my replacement fogs.

After two recent encounters snow a few months ago and rain this past weekend, and having to while knuckle for 50 miles…I’d rather cry once than twice. Are the sports bright enough or do you wish brighter? I’m thinking of going opposite…pro amber in the factory fogs and clear for the 6” with separate switch for when I really need them.

If you are going with amber ss3 fogs pro. I doubt you regret it. I wanted to be certain I could run them all the time and not get flashed. So, I grabbed the sports.

The lens for the ss6 are very cheap. So if you change your mind about those it will cost you like $3 per lens + shipping.

I had the white driving light version of the ss6 at first. I purchased the amber fog lens and swapped them out. They light up such a wide area, I can see the deer long before they start to dart across the road. Also they are great in heavy rain/fog.

The driving lights in white won't help much in bad weather. They shine up and focused which reflects off the fog/rain/snow.

Updated the splash screen on my 7” cluster and set up the unlock/windows down feature. Time to dig back into the Alfa thread…

Got board, so thought I’d try a Bullbar out. Still on the fence to keep or not. Figure I’ll give it a good week.

I DO NOT want it to look like a Filipino party bus, lol.

Thoughts?

started my Eibach install this weekend. Probably into it 10 hrs due to having to cut off rusted strut nuts. Fronts are done with new UCA, outer tie rods, and stabilizer links. Unfortunately only have hand tools at my disposal and I am sore as sh#t.

At least you won’t overtighten something or strip it if you are not using air guns etc. it’s too easy to do something up with a rattle gun and it’s past torque settings!
Enjoy!

Your comment about the 6” made me rethink….I ordered the max ss3 white . If need be, I’ll do like you and opt for the ss6 in amber afterwards although I’m not keen on having to run wire thru dash and drilling a hole for switch. Thanks for your help.

Got a rubber bed mat and access G2 bed pockets installed today. Bed pockets took 5 minutes with supplied self tapping screws.
Think I’m definitely gonna be happy with them to hold tie downs and random stuff that ends up in the bed
I also like that they have cut outs for a pole to go across the bed and keep luggage from sliding too far

Had to order a new egr coolant inlet line for the EcoDiesel. Mine blew off the block today, lucky I caught it before I lost all my coolant. Looking closer at where it goes into the block something seemed off, Its missing the flange that secures it!! Needless to say I was perplexed. Maybe I just have a one off on mine but I suggest all you with eco's to check yours. First pic is mine, second/third is how it is supposed to look.

Long time no post. Dropped mine off to get the 5.7l plenum, short valve, and short valve actuator replaced since mine failed. I still think these fail because of the plastic upper as well as in my case, lack of hard driving. Like you casually wind the vane day after day in normal driving only so much but then you go on a long trip and do a bunch of heavy hills (California Grapevine 3x's in a week) you get to where all the grease and goop in the intake have wiped to the old stop point and you're well past that and the ongoing engine heat cooks the valve flap in place and the code tosses...

Dropped off the AFE shorties to get Cerakoted, and started getting parts in to do the oil filter relocation, Improved Racing adapter and then Summit parts for the rest. Setting it up to be swappable for when I decide to jump to a thermostat and cooler set up I won't have to change the engine side and lines.
