So I’m looking for a 2-4” lift. I was looking at the readylift 4”sst. But I keep hearing a lot of people saying to steer clear. What other recommendations are there. I am on a budget naturally. I don’t really do off-road. Just looking for a better stance. Thanks

I know some people do not like them but I put the Rough Country 2.5" lift ($149) on my truck almost 3 years ago and have had no issues with it. Top is before, bottom after.

Was that a lift or just a level?

It's classed as a lift. 2.5" in the front 1" in the rear. Actually got closer to 1.25" in the rear.

Yea a level to me is just that…only leveling the front. If you raise the front high enough that you have to raise the rear too, i consider that a lift. But in the end, its just a name.

Are you capable of doing it yourself? If so, grab some bilstein 5100's set them at 2.8 in the front. add a 1" spacer for the rear and install a Zone 1.5" Body lift. That will net you 4.3" in the front, and 2.5 in the rear. This will be the same lift as the Ready lift kit, and will ride 100% better.

Here is mine with the aforementioned above on 35's

Another one in the dirt.

If you have to have a shop do it, Go with Zone or Superlift. 4" kits.

Not sure why anyone would say to steer clear of the ReadLift 4” SST kit, everyone has their company of preference or budget to stick to I suppose. I actually have the 4” SST kit installed from ReadyLift and have had zero issues, looks good, drives perfect, good lift height and looks almost level and yet the truck still fits in my standard height garage door.

Lifts 4” up front, and 2” in the rear so you end up with about a 1/2” rake when done (2.5” front lift makes the truck level, so it’s a level plus a 1.5” lift up front, then the 2” lift in the rear puts the back end 1/2” higher than the front, for a lifted/levelled look over all. Add in a set of 35 x 12.5 tires and you’ll get another 1” or so added to that overall lift.)

I can say from experience that the ReadyLift 4” SST kit was perfect for the lift and look I was going for and no complaints from me.

Really for 4" the Zone lift kit is the best value way to lift a RAM that high with durable long lasting parts. For a bit smaller of a lift I recommend the Eibach Pro lift kit.The ReadyLift isnt a horrible option if it is a street driven truck only. It is not my recommended way to go but for a street truck it does fine.

They are installed improperly A LOT!!!!!
Readylift kit is an awesome kit if installed properly. I personally have a lot of trucks out there on them and have zero issues. The geometry is always spot on with all their products

I too was looking to lift my truck 4 inches a couple years ago. Luckily, I was talked into going with a 6 inch instead. Everyone that I spoke to said I would absolutely regret it if I didn't. So I went with the Zone 6 inch lift kit with new Upper control arms, and I'm absolutely glad I did.... Before and after pics included.

I agree, even on mine I found they installed the rear link brackets incorrectly (on the outside of the frame) but I remedied that little mistake myself. The rest looked good. No issues with my kit or truck even before I swapped those brackets to the inside where they should be.

I personally prefer them on the inside as well but I have never had it take an Ill effect unless they are inside swaybar to outside frame.
Any concerns all you have to do it post a picture on this forum and we’ll help you out. I get trucks, PM’s, texts, and Instagram messages every day helping guys out that have strange issues. Or just want to confirm their stuff is right.
