Not true. Air suspension hasn’t been a problem since it was redesigned for 5th gens. We own two 5th gens with it, and we live where it gets cold in winter.

@2006m5, you might want to consider upgrading the fuel tank size to 33 gallon, but otherwise it looks like a solid build.

I am waiting on my second one to ship. Read about hemi tick. Otherwise 5.7 is a great engine and the tick isn’t a show stopper. Just a bigger repair than normal

The bigger fuel tank,
also a "19" with no issues on the air suspension.
I like the Off Road Group, and I don't like 20" rims, but thats just me.

they're bulletproof unless you get one that eats it's cam or the exhaust manifolds warp. Both have been known issues for many years, but just about every manufacturer has "known issues".

Yes to all brands have issues
Absolutely true. A good friends 2021 Silverado just ate a couple lifters at 7000 miles and my daughters 2021 Honda SUV is getting a new engine at under 5000 miles.

My 19 Laramie just keeps rolling along. If you're nervous about long term repairs, spring for a $2300 8 yr 125K miles factory service contract. You'll spend a ton more than that to insure your house over the same period.

I agree with most of these comments, OP.
I have Longhorn with air, 33 gall tank and 3.92 gearing.
My only, not beef, just observation is that (mine is 22) bigger wheels , ie 22 or possibly 20 definitely do not ride as ‘smooth’ as the 18s I put on in winter.
I absolutely love this truck. A year old end May and no issues at all (apart from paintwork)

Check yours very closely for defects. Do not accept bad orange peel as ‘normal’ some yes, but they will correct it if you push. I did.

Why is it that the people that doen't have things like Air Suspension 4 corners, know all about them? We have them and would not be without them again. We live in a very cold area and have had no problems ever.

My $0.02

Delmonico is awesome. My current challenger is delmonico and my last ram was. Awesome color.

Check out the limited trim, sometimes a larry can get as expensive and not have all the options of the limited

Once you have it and are ready to wax. Use mcguires hybrid ceramic

Friends Silverado high country in the shop last week for shifting issues at 30k miles. Friends F150 3.5L ecoboost starved itself of oil and ruined at 60k miles 2 years ago. Brothers Honda Pilot new engine at 6k miles after dumping all the oil on the floor of his garage one night. What’s that saying? They don’t don’t make ‘em like they used to… my ‘17 hemi 5.7 was perfect when I sold it for the new one. Granted lasting 5 years is nothing to brag about, but when you’re seeing family members cars drop at 6 months… I’m taking my chances on another one. Oh and Ram interiors are amazing vs peer set and higher end vehicles. Laramie,
Limited, longhorns are all beautifully done and the lower trims are not as cheap as others feel when it’s plastic you’re touching.

avanti are you happy with your delmonico color?
Yes, It still looks good parked in the sun and I still get a fair number of positive compliments. I use the local commercial carwash during the winter months and the paint has held up quite well.

It's going into the local Ram dealers body shop in two weeks to fix the front bumper that a Fedex truck backed into. Their paint guy was present when the repair was estimated and he commented on how nice the truck looked and how he really likes the color.

100% agree with the extended warranty recommendation. It's fine if you have problems during your warranty. Might be inconvenient but it's not cash out of pocket. I have a 2019 1500 Longhorn Laramie w/65K miles. I just dropped over $3K on rear end repairs (axle locker actuator died (known issue) along with pinon bearings, side bearings, seals, etc..) and the GPS died (another known issue), requiring a replacement radio at ~$1700. Would have been much cheaper to get the extended warranty! I'd recommend looking on the forum for common problems. Doesn't mean you will experience them but at least you are forewarned.
