Driving from VA to Ohio and ended up hitting a cone in the road on the PA turnpike. It must have had a hard base to it because it broke the power running board on my 2019 Ram Laramie 1500 (I stepped out of the truck and stepped on it to step down, and that caused the other end to break, so the whole thing came off).

The two parts seen below both raise and lower as I open and close the door, so it seems like a new board would fix it. Has anyone ever replaced the power running board? Any idea where the best place to get a replacement would be, and what they cost? I don't need both, just the driver's side. I thought about trying to find one in a junkyard, not sure how tough that would be to find.

I would file an insurance claim and have the dealer replace it....I don't think they would only replace the running board piece. Looks like they only sell the sets

Considering it is an accident (road obstruction) let the insurance company pay for the repair.

Thanks. I called insurance, and it's considered a collision and not a road hazard, so it would hit the $500 deductible. I wanted to avoid a claim if I could.
