I find myself in circles over which headers and exhaust to go with. If you could put any headers and exhaust system on your Ram, what would it be? I thought I was set on the Kooks headers paired with the Borla Atak catback, but I’m not sure.. anyone?

i recently put ARH 1 7/8 LT headers and a borla S-type catback in. i think the ATAK is louder than the S-type? before i bought my ARH headers i had heard nothing bad about them what so ever....now that their in i start seeing somethings here and there saying otherwise ./facepalm. as for my sound....she mean af. i have to check traffic before i put my foot into it to make sure there isnt a cop around me. there is some noise in the cab cruising at 80mph on the freeway but its not horrible.

I’ve yet to read one bad thing about Kooks. I think I’ll give them a call today and get them ordered. Now, the decision of exhaust.. It’s so relative to each person, and without hearing it in person, it’s so difficult.

Kooks are very expensive.

The top (2) go to's for Long Tube headers for our trucks is ARH (American Racing Headers) and SW (Stainless Works).

As far as a catback, the Attack will be very loud, almost all "catbacks" are designed for stock manifolds/cats. With headers and hi-flow cats it will be much louder.

Figure out exactly what level of sound you want from your truck and do 1 step down from there when doing headers.

I.E. Borla attack - go S-type with headers. S-type - go Touring with headers, etc...

Not to be that guy, but money is irrelevant when it comes to my truck. I want the best.. I can’t find one bad thing about kooks. ARH headers, I have here and there.

I don’t want this thing to be obnoxious loud at all. But a deep sound with no drone or rasp. Unicorn , I get it. But I want close as possible.

I’m currently waiting for a 2.5 thump cam from jay greene, and it’s getting hellcat lifters. I’ve read a few places the Borla “blew out” on some guys. Because I was really deciding on the atak series. Uggh, what to do…

Thank you so much for the reply.

So.. After more research and banging my head against the wall, I called ARH directly. I purchased their entire kit , from headers back. I’m glad the decision has been made and it’s over..

Let me know what you thing of the ARH catback (noise level wise) and if there is any drone. If I don;t like how the corsa sounds with the 1 3/4" catted headers I will go Borla touring or the ARH
