2013 Ram 1500 RCSB, all controls on drivers door just stopped working. Windows, locks, mirror adjustments, and folding mirrors. Researched as much as I could, but didn't come up was a real answer. Took a chance hoping it would be the switch system in the door, and ordered up a new switch. After installing the new switch panel, everything worked fine. Drove the truck 10 minutes and parked, and same problem, nothing worked again. I don't believe it is a broken wire in the loom from the body to the door, nor a module in the door. Stumped and frustrated, and open to suggestions. I'm afraid it may have to go to a dealer for a computer thing ?? At least the drivers window was up.

Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the module in the door, or the door switch panel itself ? I have replaced the door switch panel, and the connector clicked in fine. Everything worked great, but after running an errand, everything stopped working again... I did take apart the original one, and found no corrosion what so ever inside. At this point I'm wondering if is some type of computer signal being lost ?
Thanks for the suggestion.

Badger 13, have you figured out a solution? I have just found that my driver’s side control panel doesn’t work except for the crew cab on my 2017 1500. I’m leaning toward an electrical problem at the door.

No, I have been at the dealer 3 times, and waiting to be called for my next appointment. It was traced back that the door module was bad. When that was replaced it worked through the techs computer, but not by itself. They tell me some computer part is not "talking" to the module. The have opened a "Stars" case with FCA trying to find a fix. Talk about frustrating....What is so weird is when I replaced the door switch it worked just fine. When I drove the truck for about 15 minutes, it no longer worked.. Computers.........................

Update. I was hoping I would have a happy ending to this, but sadly I don't. The truck has been back to the dealer 2 more times, with a total of 5 days there. Picked it up last night and still NOT fixed. Between their top technicians, and this "Star" thing from FCA, they are not coming up with a fix. they have tried different parts, but nothing works. They claim everything wil work from the laptop they use checking, but that's it. The struggle has been either waiting for parts, or getting another appointment scheduled. The issue first started on 04-20-22, and finally got into the dealer on 05-19-22. So, as of 07-22-22, this has not been resolved, and I don't know if it ever will be. And now the tech that has been working on it will be on vacation for a week, so I can only imagine when it will get back into the shop. Since this stopped working, the truck is only used to go to and from the dealer.... So, if there are any Mopar technicians out there with any advice, I'm listening. I'm pretty sure the service guy, and the techs are just as frustrated as I am. I find it hard to believe that my truck is the only one in the world that has experienced this problem........

Hey I’ve had this problem driver door stopped working due to rain and it killed my module and burned my wiring harness in the door. I believe and maybe I’m wrong but I think I might be your door wiring harness in between the door there’s a black bushing or rubber material pull it back and open it to the wiring due to the opening and closing wear and tear affect the wires and if the wires are intact then it might just be your model and test that use a circuit tester on your wiring harness entrees that go to your switch it might be it. I still haven’t resolved this problem due to the fact that I can’t find a wiring harness for my truck I already replaced the module just waiting to hopefully find the wiring harness

I believe I have the same problem as you. I have a 2011, the window switch when you put it back into it's slot will work randomly however not reliably. In my truck atleast this is the case. I have found that if I leave the window switch out of the pocket it is supposed to be in and give a little pull at it when need be I can roll the windows up and down and adjust the mirrors. although it's not the best solution it does work, I just haven't had the time to dig deeper into the wiring harness or the connectors. I have ended up replacing the driver's window switch module a time or 2 over the years with the initial problem steming from unable to lock the truck with the master switch.

I'd be curious if this gets resolved what resolved it. When I get some time myself I am going to dig into the wiring harness of the switch and see if I can't find out if there is a broken wire

Everything inside and outside of the door are spotless and look like new. The switch and both door modules have been replaced. Allegedly the wiring harness from the body to the door has also been replaced. This is not an intermittent problem, it just doesn't work. The techs say that when they have their laptop hooked up to the vehicle, they can make everything work just fine. I'm hoping that someone on the other end of the "Star" thing can come up with an answer. This is just so frustrating, and no can tell me what happens when a dealer is unable to fix the problem. I appreciate the suggestions. If, and when it gets fixed, I'll post what the issue was.

I took a quick look at a 2013 wiring diagram, it may not be of much use, however I would definitely check the power and grounds of the drivers control switch especially if the passenger door switch still operates the window.

Since the BCM can operate the windows, that is where I would start. As the Driver's door module and driver's switch have different power feed lines. They do share a grounding location. I don't know how much of the harness they replaced. I would check continuity of the power and ground lines as well.

Yes, the passenger window switches work. I would like to think they checked that, but I will sure bring it up when it goes back in.

Thanks.

If the techs can get everything to work with their scan tool, this tells you the computers/modules/wiring integrity is good, although I'd want to see this with my own eyes. Things get lost in interpretation as words get passed on.

I'd check check each pin individually at the connector for the door button assembly for good friction. I'd check everything in the door flex area too.

Not to high jack the thread but I have a similar issue on a 2012 Quad cab but the driver side controls work all the windows fine, the passenger side window switch stopped. Door locks work on that side just the window will not. I just tried another switch and still nothing. Where else do I check?

Having the same issues but mine started with doors unlocking themselves after autolock locked them. Then lost control to front windows and mirrors from driver side, back window controls work from driver switch. Replaced door control module no help then took to friend and was able to run all from computer so know wires are giving power and can control OBDII computer but not switch. Just ordered new switch and will see if and how long that works. Seems to be some kind of short some were. Inside of my door was dry and harness between door is good.

A new window switch fixed a similar issue for me except that I wish I had bought it OEM. The "Amazon" version has a slightly different greenish light versus the OEM color interior whiteish/blue light. Hope it solves your problem!
