Question about tow mirror illumination

Hello all, I have a question about my tow mirrors. This week I purchased a set of tow mirrors and installed them on my 2014 1500. I used alpha OBD to program everything and it worked great. I was curious if the blinker lights in the mirrors should come on with the parking lights, or just when the turn signals are on? I thought I turned everything on that I read about on other threads with Alpha OBD but there are a lot of threads on here and want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I believe on my 2500 they only come on when the blinker is on. Now there have been guys playing around with the wiring to make them come on when the parking lights are on but that is not the way the work from the factory.

Mine are non tow mirrors

The lights work with the signal lights, But they also work as courtesy lights when i open the door

What is your opinion? Were they as simple as they are supposed to be to install? Do they work like they should? Do you have a picture with them on?

There are several Youtube videos on upgrading to Tow Mirrors

Some of the aftermarket tow mirrors do Not come with the braces that go inside of the door panel, they keep the heavier mirror from shaking, thus making the mirror blurry
You will need to buy the Mopar Rivnut kit to mount the brace

This video goes into more detail & the guy has his arm in some sort of brace
