2022 Longhorn ordered 2021. Sales manager told me ALL Longhorns are Limited Longhorns. Nice truck but turns out it IS NOT a Limited! Imagine a sales mgr misrepresenting a product. I'm not holding any grudges as I will put it down to he not really knowing his product line. Again, buyer beware!

Yes and no. Longhorns can be listed as both Limiteds and Laramies. Yes your salesman probably should have clarified which trim level you were actually getting. Send me your VIN via PM and I will do some research.

I don't think there is just a "Longhorn" made in 2022. There is a Limited Longhorn, which sounds like what you bought. It is a seperate trim from Limited and starts at about $5k less. Add the hemi and it's just over $2k less. I'm not sure what all the other differences are.

Looks as if there is "just a Longhorn". DT6R98 1500 Longhorn Crew Cab.

Model code DT6R98 is a Limited Longhorn crew cab/short bed with 4WD. Note Ram calls it a "Longhorn Limited" on their websites, but the Moroney just says "Longhorn".

What's the little badge on your center console/armrest say?

Buyer beware of what? It's more a case of buyer be informed. When the Longhorn first came out, Ram called it a Laramie Longhorn. For the 2021 model year they changed the name to Limited Longhorn. It is not a version of a Limited, it's its own model. Lots of people just shorten it to Longhorn. For the life of me I never understood why Ram didn't just call it a Longhorn. Your sales manager is correct. Your thinking it is a version of a Limited is what's incorrect.

Another key difference is longhorn can be had with or without air suspension. Limited all have it, at least for ‘22. Congrats on the truck! I like the longhorn interior, it’s beautifully executed. When I sat in them I just felt like the black was more my style, though the longhorn interior felt more special so I see where the marketers started calling it a limited longhorn. It’s as nice if nicer than the limited trim depending on taste and up a notch on the standard Laramie leather easy.

Bighorn & Longhorn started out the same
A Texas Bighorn was called a Longhorn with some fancy
leatherwork

For the last couple of years, they have played with the different model names
some models were switched about because of the covid scare

When I built my 2500 Limited Longhorn on Ram's website, there was no Longhorn option, just Limited Longhorn. And optioned the same as a Limited, the price was within a couple hundred dollars.

No, the Bighorn was a model in itself, one trim level below the Laramie.

Then came the Laramie, the first level into the higher-end trims followed by the Larmie Lognhorn, and the Laramie Limited.

As noted in post 6, RAM, in what was an attempt to simplify the trim level naming, came up with Laramie, Limited, and Limited Longhorn.

On my 2022 Longhorn, the exterior badging says "Longhorn" and interior badging on the center armrest and on the upper glove box lid says "Limited Longhorn".

On my 2015 Longhorn, all badging says "Laramie Longhorn".

That was a confusing read... I think I need a drink!
Isn't it a little early for a drink, senator? Oh well, it's noon somewhere!

Your list is missing the HFE, Rebel, and of course the subjects of this thread, Limited and Limited Longhorn models.

I have purchased 3 Laramie Longhorns, 2013, 2017 and now my 2020 ... In 2021 the Longhorn model changed to a "Limited Longhorn" and is no longer a "Laramie Longhorn" ... I don't really see the difference unless it is just a ploy to raise the price ...

The dead giveaway is the interior color. Limited Longhorn has saddle brown color. That interior color option is not available on the Limited.

The badge on the center console that says Limited Longhorn is a big giveaway too.

I have a 2020 Longhorn equipped like a Limited. I really didn't want a black interior and when I saw the light brown interior in the Longhorn, that's when I looked on the internet and found one with air suspension and the split
tailgate in the color I wanted, I bought it. $13,000 in rebates in February of 2020.

My biggest beef with the Longhorn is there's no Night Edition or even a blackout package available. You can get color matched bumpers, but you'll always be stuck with a chrome grille. Lots of people like a chrome grill...I'm just not one of them. :D
