Just picked up the Ram.

Ended up not only installing Fox shocks all the way around, Maxtrac front springs (completing the 7” lift), and oil change, but also upgrading all 4 brakes (Rotors and pads).

Now…. Top Romen for a while :Big Laugh:

Next up on the wish list…….

1, Air lift for rear when towing

2. Onboard air for above,

3. I’m thinking Red Core 4x4 arms.

I think the Fox IFP shocks generally need the body up towards the frame and shaft down to the axle, i would probably flip them over. But I've found conflicting info so I can't quote any Fox docs on this.

Only drove home about 2 miles, so can’t give an honest evaluation.

I do like the stance with the extra few inches made.

I had no complaints with the others (KYB) front, Max Trac standards for rears, but seeing as how I had to change out the front shocks due to the taller springs….. I decided to just do all 4 together.

7-8hp more over bumps lmao. They were night and day different than stock. If the springs the shocks will really show.

Yes your rear shocks are indeed mounted upside down.

This is correct “most” are installed body up. The give away on his are the sticker the Fox name is upside down. It’s stated in the last paragraph of the documentation provided with that model shock.

The stance you have works well with the mini fender flares. I love the Mopar stripes too. Check the orientation of your rear shocks though, looks like "FOX" is upside down...

Until you mentioned it, I hadn’t even thought to look. Fox is closed today, so I’ll have a call into them Monday morning and see what they recommend for my application.

I too could not find anything definitively one way or the other.

Either way, thank you for pointing that possibly :waytogo:

Thanks. Fender flares are actually 2500’s. I’d rather have a little tire poke, than looking like bat wings. Tires are 35’ 12.5, so I’m happy with that :waytogo:

Stripes will be filled in with matte black, for a ‘ghost stripe’ effect. Played around with the striping to see if I liked it or not…… which I do, that’ll come on another weekend :waytogo:

Installed new pan and converter. Been gone a lot for work so trying to do it piece by piece so when it comes time the actual swap "shouldn't" be too bad

Some shocks can be mounted either way, in this case body size down and I believe those Fox With IFPs fall in this category. When in doubt contact the manufacturer. They look better body side up in our application. . Do you know if they came with offset spacers for the top mounts ? If you look on videos I think every single rear shock install for the RAM 1500 has the rear shocks with body up. Icon 2.0 instructions call for body Up. King and Fox 2.5 instructions call for body up. Don't know about the instructions for the Fox 2.0 but should be up for the RAM application. Contact Maxtrac they should have specific instructions for their lift.

I agree, both are local companies, I’ll be calling Fox in the morning.

Appreciate the response :waytogo:
