I got my cargo camera all hooked up and it works if I push the cargo camera button on the radio, but when I go into reverse it switches to the main backup camera. In almost every video I have seen there is usually a softkey uptop that will allow you to switch between the two camera in order to properly use it. I got the cargo camera for backing up and connecting to a 5th wheel but if I turn the cargo camera on and put the truck into reverse..it defeats the purpose. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue. Looked through alfaobd settings and didn't see antyhing but maybe I missed it?

Once it's in reverse and changes to the tailgate camera, you should be able to hit the cargo camera icon and it will switch back. I do it all the time for hooking up the gooseneck or 5er. And I added the cargo camera with harness and turned it on with AlphaOBD.

You install the stock LED CHMSL? Check and make sure these are checked YES. Also, if you just did this it may take 24 hours for it to show up. When I did mine it didn't show up until I drove it and waited overnight until the next for it to show.

Both of those are turned on in alfaobd and it's been probably 4 days. I don't really drive my truck much. As shown in the pic I have the cargo cam option and it works..but when I put it in reverse it changes and I have no buttons...seems very odd.

It does not look like the entire system has loaded yet. The center row of Apps are still U's, indicating that.
Also to add, in the engine bay on the passenger side near the firewall and wiper cowl there is a little in line fuse holder. You can pull the fuse to do a reset and see if everything loads up. I can't remember but doing that you may have to reset your presets.

yeah I had did a "hold top right corner reset" on it briefly before this. They did all load and still nothing. Those 5 days the camera wire was ran but no camera was actually hooked up. It just said camera not available. I just fully installed the camera today. I am not sure if that makes a difference in it recognizing it as I would think just having the wiring down would start the process.

I added to my other response above. But yes just adding the camera today it should recognize the hardware now and load. Again it may not show up until tomorrow.

Always wondered where that fuze was. I did pull it, but...now I don't have a "control" or "cargo cam" soft key. Nor has the original issues fixed it self. I guess now it is just the waiting game until tomorrow and hopefully they all pop back up.

It all should show up again.
Run the truck around the block then park it. Close door and lock it. It will "go to sleep" and update, possibly taking overnight. If you can give an update if it worked in the A.M.

The minimum time I've seen is two hours.

Just went to check and I do indeed have my buttons back (Controls and Cargo Cam); however, still waiting on the keys to switch from backup to cargo cam. Still giving it time, but as of now everything is back to when I originally posted. Since I got a few of you helping out...ever see the following stuff (will post in next post the pictures). I have had them since I bought the radio. I took it to the dealer and they said they have never seen it. I tried googling how to like empty the recycle bin of the radio to free up space, but didn't see anything.

I've never seen that. I'm guessing that was a pop-up?
yeah it pops up randomly when I first start the truck. Its not every time but I would say about 50% i get that message or instead of it being low I get the same thing but it says high. It's really odd and no one seems to have ever seen it before.

Is that the unit your truck came with, or did you replace the original with this one? Not suggesting it really, but, I wonder if in the settings you do a factory reset or whatever it's called, if it would stop whatever it is doing in the background clogging up memory.

This unit is one I replaced as I had the 3.0 and upgraded to the 8.4. I have tried all 3 reset options in settings, pulling the fuse and holding the top right corner for 6 seconds, none of them seem to do anything. Got up this morning and doesn't seem to have changed anything sadly :(. When I bought the radio I think it came out of a Jeep because it originally said Jeep until the computer kicked it a day later and realized it was now plugged into a RAM. Anyone know if that could maybe have anything to do with it? I was under the impression that they all had the same software on them making them pretty much compatible with all mopar cars.

I suspected it was a replacement with these issues. Again thinking (typing) out loud here, have you tried to check the software version and done the updates?
I don't know but maybe coming from a JeeP that doesn't even have a cargo camera has something to do with it? Maybe reach out to https://www.infotainment.com/pages/infotainment-repair-services
and ask them if its repairable?
