Hi all, I'm having trouble upgrading to power folding mirrors and was hoping for some suggestions. Truck is 2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7. The truck did not come stock with PFM's so I upgraded the door modules to 68225100AD and 6825101AD. The mirrors I bought were from Top Gear because I'm really partial to the blind spot mirror being under the main mirrors as opposed to outside. Top Gear is labeled as being a plug and play for vehicles that already have PFM's so I figured going through the upgrade these would work (Dodge Ram 1500 2009-2018 Power Fold Tow Mirrors LED Lights). I also upgraded the switch to Standard Motor Products DWS1706 which is supposed to be fully compatible with OEM. I'm using OBDLink MX+ to connect to the truck's computer and using current version of AlphaOBD which is able to interface with the truck. I don't have an andriod phone so I'm using my windows computer to work with AlphaOBD. Through Alpha I'm able to connect, choose My2014 PowerNet for the Body Computer, then I choose Driver Door as the Alpha Function, My>2012 PowerNet, then to Active Diagnostics and navigate to Power Folding Mirror option, select Enabled, start procedure. Alpha tells me currently PFM's are disabled do I want to start, I select Start and it immediately says procedure complete. Try the PFM's and nothing. If I go back to restart the procedure Alpha again tells me the option is disabled. It's like the truck isn't accepting the procedure Alpha is trying to complete. Fortunately, when I replaced the mirrors I noticed that the structural supports for tow mirrors were already in place - was thinking that was a good sign that power folding tow mirrors were an option on this year Big Horn. Thanks in advance for any advise you may have.

What @jawzs2 stated, if you look at post #4 in the link he posted, it shows what options need to be set for the power fold mirrors to work.

Power fold towing mirrors were not an option available from the factory on the 1500s

Thanks for the replies guys. I was able to get into the truck options using AppCar and OBDLink MX+. Saw all the options that can be changed and changed the ones listed in post #4 as suggested by Crash68. Unfortunately still no power folding. I'm going to reach out to AppCar to see if they have any suggestions. I'm pretty sure my door modules and door switch assembly are compatible - becoming suspicious of the TopGear mirrors. Will also look for OEM mirrors to test out on if I can find some reasonably priced. Do you know if I was to buy just one OEM mirror, disconnect both aftermarket mirrors and install the one OEM would it power fold or do both have to be installed? Thanks.

Went back and re-read your original post, it looks like you may have the wrong door modules, post #1 in the link above lists the correct part #'s. You want the ones that list option code LER, It's noted in the description here, not all parts sites list the option codes. Suggest hitting up Benny from @AllMoparParts.com , they're a preferred vendor on this forum and he goes out of his way to help everyone.
