Yeah it makes no sense! They can't even supply enough electricity to what we have now & they want to add more to the grid!?! How bout we beef up the grid first & then start production of all of these EV's. Wouldn't be the first time our government made an obvious mistake!Has anyone else seen the "uh-oh, we didn't think of that" circumstances in California? More an more people are buying EV's and now guess what? There's pretty serious concerns on how much longer the electric grid can support it! As summer approaches (and a heat wave now), between increased demand from air conditioners and now more people plugging their electric sh*tboxes in at night, they're stating there will be an increase in rolling black-outs.
Great job.....Make it more difficult and costly to use oil and force people to switch energy sources before the infrastructure can support it!
California's electrical grid has an EV problem
California has set out to become a leader in the green transition, aiming to rid its electrical grid of all carbon sources by 2045. The state is already the nation’s top producer of solar, geothermal, and biomass energy, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, with renewables...finance.yahoo.com
It's called "Cart before the horse"! Over and over and over........!Yeah it makes no sense! They can't even supply enough electricity to what we have now & they want to add more to the grid!?! What makes one think that the "semiconductor" shortage ACTUALLY exists? Thanks for posting that. The only thing I can say for sure is that's a future I'm not interested in. At least for the near future. With all the shortages currently going on, especially the chip shortages, how does it in any way make sense to design vehicles which even more heavily rely on semiconductors? Making it even more difficult to buy one. I guess they're assuming the current shortages will be better soon, but I don't see any signs of improvement. If anything, things are only getting worse in that regard.
…the current rulers won't be in power very long
You may have to change. Once the electric trucks take off they may set a date when you have to switch with a government buyout on your gas truck going towards a electric truck.Nope. Reminds me of a Honda Ridgeline where the bed and cab meets. Never gonna buy an EV.

Did you honestly think oil was going to stay negative?Yep, about a year and a half ago to be exact! Not rocket science, fact's!
I believed a lot before January 2020. That's funny........I don't remember getting paid to take it! We did have some $1.50 a gallon times tho, was great wasn't it! I'm not going to do the russian's fault thing as this started happening a bit before russia's crap! ThanksDid you honestly think oil was going to stay negative?
That's what the price was back then because of such a worldwide glut. At one point it was down to something like -$39.00 barrel. Meaning they had to pay to get rid of it.
Now pull Russia's supply and then the oil companies want to actually make up for all the money they lost when it went negative, and this is what you get.
Perhaps we are, but politics has a tendency to destroy logic. And we're considered the intelligent life form!
The problem is that EVs have become a religion, operating on obsession and incestual beliefs. You are not going to reduce carbon emissions by replacing fossil fuel motors with electrics that consume 'dirty' electricity generated by coal and natural gas. And, of course, EV adherents do not like to talk about the waste byproducts of battery driven vehicles.if the greenies want all electric, and you don’t use oil, coal, or nukes, what the hell are they planning to use to generate this magic fuel. One other thing, where will they choose to dispose of these lithium wonders.
You have to switch because of a govt. buyout.....What planet are you from ??You may have to change. Once the electric trucks take off they may set a date when you have to switch with a government buyout on your gas truck going towards a electric truck.
