Just ordered a new RAM 1500 Laramie 4x4, 5.7L non eTorque, 3.92 gears. Advanced safety Group, Bed Utility Group, Sport Appearance, Laramie Level II, Diamond Black Crystal with 5 passenger Leather, Wheel-to-Wheel Steps, RamBox, Multi-Function Tail Gate, Wheel Well Liners, 8.4" Nav. uConnect, Panoramic Sun Roof, Floor mats and Trailer Controller.

Ill be towing a 241RLK KZ Connect 29' long travel trailer grossing at 7,265# with EZ load distribution, anti sway bars. My 2021 Durango R/T Ton-n-Go pulled it like a Mule, but the short wheel base made it squirrely at times. Dealer I purchased it from gave me a great price for it, so I pulled the trigger. Bitter/Sweet...that Rango is awesome, but not practical for what I need it for.

I was told that Ram is no longer offering the eTorque in the 5'-7" beds not offering the RamBox on 6'-4" bed. I wanted the RamBox, so went with the standard 5.7L. Should be plenty. Was also considering the diesel, however in researching some videos on the Ike Gauntlet, the 5.7L Ram out pulled the Ram Turbo Diesel going up by about a minute in 8 miles.

Didn't opt for the air leveling system either for $1,800. I should be able to get the load/sway bars dialed in for a good comfortable tow. Hope I don't regret this.

Have the VIN and VON and it is a sold unit. It's in the scheduling queue per Stellantis, and dealer advises it should hit the lot in 8-12 weeks. Hope its not like the Durango for 24 weeks.

Super Stoked! Been about 12 years since I parted with my 2004 Ram Limited 4x4 (black with big vertical HEMI badges on the quarters, LOL) which I purchased new. The new interiors are fantastic and functional....Glad I'm back.

That sounds awesome man. Congratulations. That is very close to the truck that I just traded in on a 3500 HO diesel for towing my Travel Trailer. If you can find it, post a link to the video where the 5.7 out pulls the 6.7 Cummins. That doesn't sound right. At least I hope thats not right :)

Thanks,. It's not the 6.7 Cummins, its the 3.0 Turbo Diesel for the 1/2 tons...My previous post had the link, but it was taken down. Just do a search for Ike Gauntlet Ram diesel vs 5.7.

Truck should tow that great.

You're not missing anything on the eTorque, promise. Had it, wish I hadn't gotten my truck with it. Sold my Ram 1500 just recently to upgrade to a 1 ton for towing a bigger camper and I have to admit, part of me was relieved to be rid of eTorque even though I really loved the truck.

6.4L Hemi
damn more and more people are saying the exact same thing eTorque nah they pass on it. So the rental I drove 2021 ram 1500 with the 6.4 bed was a non eTorque and boy oh boy. I was driving 80 at less the 1500 rpm. Had to pass somone that Hemi did it without any struggle. I mean easy 900 pounds of passenger weight and another 400 500 pounds of cargo. I fell in loved. going up hills like nothing.

You Will Love your Truck with or with out the eTorque! It will pull what your wanting to pull with ease! I have pulled 8700Lbs with and with out 1500 Laramie's ...seems etorque may have had just a tiny bit of brake difference....and I say TINY!.....But my 19 has 57k on it and rumor is mid 23 and the 5.7 is gone in the 1500 so I need to find me a new 2022 or order up a 2023 ......I love that 5.7 Hemi!......
