I want to check my pulse width and fuel pressure but I’m sure it’s fine now. I’m running the proflex flex fuel system with E50 right now. I have a pulley on order to bump the boost to 10psi and also want to run E60 now since I know I have enough fuel.

I'd like to push my truck more but I feel like I'm at the limit of what the stock transmission can handle and I've spent enough money for now! Assuming folks like Wildone reads this, what is the general consensus on the breaking point for the stock RCSB drive-shaft for 4th gen Rams?

If it's the 8 speed regular cab,it's not horsepower that kills the driveshaft,it's rpm.I wouldn't go much over 105 mph,as they seem to start letting go at right around 110 mph, some guys have had them let go lower then then that, but the general consensus seems to be you're safe to about 105mph.There's days i hate my regular cab shortbox 4X4 and the extra weight it carries, but there's days i love it,lol. The 4X4 's still use a normal driveshaft and i've had mine to 153 mph in Mexico with no issues, lol

Thanks, that's helpful. I'm with you on the love/hate relationship! The first time I went to get a load of rock with mine and drove it on the scale I about crapped my pants at how heavy it is. I have the 4x4 so I guess I'm good to go? I know on the dyno it got up to 135 because they were having a hard time locking in 6th, I sure as hell won't go that fast on the roads here!

Oh man that looks awesome! I live on back roads that are rock/chip or gravel, pretty much drive at your own risk! I'd love to have a nice open stretch like that to let 'er rip! I'm a volunteer FF/EMT and we have a few 'hot' corners around here. I know one farmer who's replaced a particular stretch of fence about 20 times in the last 20 years.

He needs to cement steel tubes in the ground ,so it's just a matter of pulling out the broke off post and sticking another fence post in the tube, lol. That's nothing James,i grew up in Saskatchewan, all flat wide open prairie farmland that makes Kansas look hilly,i didn't even know the steering wheel turned till i left that province,i thought it was something you hung onto,so you could shift your ass around on the seat after 4 or 5 hours of driving across the province, lol. Nobody ever raced from a dig in that province,it was all wide open 5 miles style of racing, see who had the fastest and usually only running car at the end.I blew up alot of motors in that province in my younger days, lol

Lol. That sounds like you had some fun in your youth! There are stretches of Texas like that, had a buddy that had an old suburban, used to lie down on it on his side like it was a couch, stick his toolbox on the accelerator, and float along for a few hours heading to Midland...

I got a few questions, I recently installed same supercharger and I'm getting ready to do the boost a pump install. Is there anything I should watch for, or any tips you might have. Also where did you end up putting the head unit at? I'm trying to decide where I want it or where would be the easiest location to put it at. Also at what RPM's do you start seeing boost, I'm getting about 7-8 when I'm WOT but it don't start creating boost till I'm at almost 3000 rpm.

Have you data logged to see exactly when it starts building boost? You won’t get full boost right off idle. My whipple doesn’t start making any boost till after 2000rpm. A centrifugal supercharger usually will be a little slower building boost as well compared to a positive displacement supercharger like a whipple.

Which SC did you go with?

I ended up locating my BAP under the fuse block. You can pop the fuse box assembly (in the engine bay by your battery) up by the two retaining clips, the BAP fit nicely underneath it. I'd recommend not messing with the optional/accessory potentiometer that can come with the kit and leave it set to always running at max voltage, doesn't seem to hurt anything. Make sure when you connect the BAP to your fuel pump wire that you get a good, SOLDERED connection, don't half-ass twist the wire together. You're already pushing a lot of current through a barely adequate conductor. Also, I'd strongly suggest you run a wideband O2 sensor if you're not already, with the BAP, at some point you will probably have to deal with a failing fuel regulator with the stock in-tank pump, if you don't watch your AFR you won't realize it and your engine will have a bad day. In mostly stock form the BAP worked fine for me. When I forged/stroked the motor and had an excellent port/polish on the heads, I finally tipped mine over the scale and had to go with return-style fuel system with dual pumps, the MMX setup.

I've posted this before, but it bears repeating.

For the Head Unit oil change procedure, get a big plastic syringe from Amazon and draw the oil out. It takes all of 5 minutes, if you go slow.
